I want the Government to be as far away from people's lives as possible.
The state is stuffed with incompetent, malicious and devious jobsworths who have one sole aim in life - protect their own position, salary, pension and lifestyle.
I detest it so very much, and a Restore Britain Government will decimate it all.
A state that does a small list of things, but does them very well.
One that protects our people, our society, our borders and our interests - that enables people to live freely and fairly exactly how they choose, without others encroaching on that.
That's it.
Collect the bins, sort the potholes out, provide a GP appointment, lock up murderers and rapists, build some decent roads/schools, deliver necessary infrastructure, lubricate the economy, control inflation, implement some national resilience, end the third world invasion.
Few other bits and pieces.
Other than that, leave us the hell alone.
Low tax, low interference, low hassle.
In short - we need some basic refereeing, but that's it.
Let people find their own way in life - buy a home, build a family, make some money, maybe grow some vegetables - without being suffocated by this atrociously overbearing state.
That's what Restore Britain will do.
That’s true David. It is also true of Winston Churchill, another much derided figure ( often rightly). You may be right, but let’s me patient for more than 4 days
MEET JONATHAN REYNOLDS. THE MAN NOW IN CHARGE OF THE ENTIRE BRITISH ECONOMY.
This is the UK's new Business Secretary. He has never run a business. He has never even worked for one. 🤡
He knows absolutely nothing about risk taking, entrepreneurship, or meeting a payroll.
He has never had to hire staff, remortgage his house to provide working capital, or skip his own salary so his employees could have theirs!
In fact, he could not even manage to finish his basic training to become a solicitor. Yet the Westminster elite think he is qualified to dictate how British businesses are run!
How can we expect our economy to grow when the people running it have never spent a single day in the private sector? They are career politicians who have spent their entire lives living off the taxpayer.
RT if you are completely sick of clueless career politicians running our country into the ground! 🇬🇧🔥
Farage has been around a long time. Over 33 yrs in active politics. He has been an MEP, an MP, a Brexiteer, a leader of UKIP, Brexit & now Reform. He is uniquely successful. It's not been smooth, but its been exciting. Always. Truth is the Best is yet to come! We love you Nigel.
@michaelwhite Or maybe they wait until they have actual evidence rather than stories on social media?
The allegations are serious, all the more reason to wait until they have something concrete?
I’m sure that successive govts have failed in hard times. But i recall Michael Howard as Home Sec first sloganising “prisoner works” on (??) the Tory Right,
@donaldjmontgome@michaelwhite The introduction of longer sentences started under Major, continued under Blair, Cameron, May, and Johnson, but none of their govts increased prison capacity anywhere near enough to cope with the extra prisoners. The chickens are now coming home to roost.
Well, well. Was that necessary? Humbert Wolfe’s famous poem:
You cannot hope to bribe or twist, / thank God! the British journalist. / But, seeing what the man will do / unbribed, there's no occasion to." https://t.co/nA6yF4FRLf
Today’s bucket of shit from the Daily Turdmaster. Readers will remember how it backed tough sentences, but also lower taxes. Result ? Acute overcrowding leading to early release

It wasn't just Robert Jenrick who posted then deleted this dangerously irresponsible disinformation.
Reform UK are desperate. This follows their irresponsible claims and speculation about political rhetoric and Ann Widdecombe's death.
@HoCStandards need an urgent investigation.
Why shouldn’t pubs, cafes, bars and restaurants be able to serve customers outside? If people want a drink in the fresh air, let’s make it easy to do so. It is Restore Britain policy to strip back the nonsense rules and regulations that make it so challenging for venues to host customers outdoors.
Not only that, but permissions to host live music. Even serve alcohol.
It is all so painfully slow, and expensive. Regulations, rules, licences - it is endless.
Let’s have light touch regulation that prevents people from taking the mick, but releases hospitality to make some money.
It benefits the owners, but also customers who will get better choice and a more welcoming environment.
Again - it all comes back to this.
Let’s get councils, government, the state and the bureaucrats out of our lives.
Endless layers of regulation have built up making anything productive or fun absolutely impossible. Restore Britain will strip it all back.
If people want a drink sitting outside, enjoying some live music at their local bar - let them.
I think you’d be safe to bet that the Telegraph a) backed “prison works” tougher sentences b) backed lower taxes c) voted for a government didn’t build many prisons because of a) and b)
🚨 NEW: Robert Jenrick has now deleted a doctored voice recording of Immigration Minister Jo White
She had published the full audio in which she said: "I don't care who will stop the boats, but my number one priority is to stop those boats"
One possibility , Tim, is the same reason why US politicians, tech billionaires, most judges and lawyers etc do not speak out against Trump’s villainy and incompetence - again on Saudi today - they’re afraid of torrents of abuse or (Trump) worse : revenge
Why do HMRC have to be pushed to take action after passively watching this story unfold for weeks? What is it about this man that he is considered by some in authority to be above the rules that govern everyone else?
Your sincerity is painful to read, Carl . Many people could answer your question, but it wd be too unkind. Good luck, but don’t start saving up for the statue in Faragegar Sq until he’s actually achieved anything more than make millions while you’re still waiting.
For anyone who questions @Nigel_Farage sincerity of wanting to create a better country, I would ask this one question. 'Why would anyone put their lives in risk as he does not only at public meetings where he could be a prime target for a sniper but also his openness in canvasing face to face with the public, unless they seriously didn't believe as so many of us do, that he has something unique and good to offer that only he can achieve? Obviously he has high security but nothing can protect anyone from a professional assassin.
For years now I have dreaded the news that he had been assassinated and those totally insignificant idiotic arrogant politicians who say he deserves no more security than they do, I pity their mentality. They should watch what he does what he says and how and where he says it and think what they actually do in comparison.
will Nigel make this country a better place if he and his fellow @reformparty_uk members win a General Election with a sufficient majority? No one knows the true answer as life throws up so many unexpected problems but from what I have seen in the last almost 30 years I'm sure no one will try harder and in my opinion if he does succeed I believe this nation should erect a monument as large as nelson's column to celebrate such a great man.
Typical Rupert, who fails to spot Marlon’s obviously inappropriate language for a man seeking major public office.if Lowe seeks advice (probably not) let him listen to R4 at 8.10 Today & hear mother of pc Andrew Harper, horribly killed by louts, angry but calm, wise & thoughtful
This is shocking.
Restore Britain’s Greater Manchester mayoral candidate, Marlon West (@MarlonTag), is a qualified mental health nurse. Marlon has spent 30 years working in the NHS across Greater Manchester. He has just been suspended by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, days before the election.
Evidently, the timing of the suspension is very questionable.
For those who don’t know, Marlon’s daughter was raped and abused by gangs of Pakistani men in Greater Manchester. Marlon has spent years campaigning to ensure other families do not suffer the same fate.
What has Marlon been suspended for?
In a discussion on a private Facebook group, Marlon referred to the injuries his daughter received at the hands of one of these gangs.
His ‘offending’ language?
“This is what Pakistanis do. After being raped and tortured. My daughter you sicko”.
Clearly, Marlon is right. Pakistani men have been largely responsible for industrial rape across Britain. Marlon knows that better than any of us.
Since the original referral into these comments, they have made further investigations into other social media posts that Marlon has made.
Marlon stated “Ban Afghans from entering the UK”.
I entirely agree with him - that is Restore Britain policy.
Marlon’s response is below.
“I regret nothing, and I will not be apologising. I stand by everything I said.
Gangs of primarily Pakistani Muslim men have raped, abused and tortured vulnerable white English girls across Greater Manchester for decades.
Finally there is the political will to fight it with Restore Britain.
I am proud to be the Restore Britain candidate for the Greater Manchester mayoral election next week.
I will make one promise.
If I am elected, I will go to war with the rape gangs across Greater Manchester.
For my daughter, and the thousands of others who have suffered the same evil.”
Brave words from Marlon.
I, and the entire Restore Britain family, stand with Marlon West.
I hope the good people of Greater Manchester back him in vast numbers next Thursday.
Strange CV detail, I agree Jeff. But let’s see how he does before we lynch, shall we? I can’t resist asking if you voted for Boris, not a business tycoon either. Most aren’t . Politics is a different skill set

@michaelwhite As John Reid, then Home Secretary, said during one of the Home Office's recurrent crises, 'It’s not my job to manage this department—it’s my job to lead this department.'
How good a job he made of it is another matter, but at least he had the right attitude.
(BBC News, 23 may 06)
As you hint Michael there is no point. The “only today” suggests that @tomhfh thinks that this information should have been released earlier. What would that have achieved? The police and CPS have always to be sensitive to the timing of the release of information in cases, particularly high profile ones.
That’s fair but ungenerous. Your “ except one” is a very big one and excuses all the many mistakes. Churchill’s war leadership was and remains a mighty achievement of the human spirit - and important to us all
@michaelwhite WC's stint as C of E and his decision to return the pound to the pre-war gold standard rate was a disaster and a major contribution to his "wilderness years" To quote Brian Walden. "Churchill was wrong about every major political issue in the 1930's. Except one."
