@FiguringFreddie In my view, not all felonies are equal. So, it's tough to agree that all should lose voting rights. At the same time blanket allowance to vote while in prison creates a weird relationship where state has oversight on your life. A prisoner may be coaxed to vote accordingly.

@FiguringFreddie Fundamentally there are different views on crime and punishment that makes making policy that pleases everyone happy. Examining what the goals are for prison and issuing felonies should be up for discussion. Are these crimes so bad that people are exiled from participation?

You have to be able to sight individuals in order to understand market values. Even people with the same job title have different value depending on their location. can't solve that with wage policy

@Sakaushka @ZubyMusic Labor hours is a cost. If that cost increases, the goods and services they render with those labor hours also increase. It's not about greed as much as nominal market value and people's ability to judge and negotiate value. The biggest culprit to bad wages is bad education.

@ZubyMusic Most countries right now seem very authoritarian. I think it's a sign of the struggle governments face to be relevant in a world where corporations do most of the heavy lifting in terms of commerce, and societal function.
