For #EarthDay, I'm sharing some of my favorite photos – a small reminder of what we're fighting for & what makes this work so meaningful.
🚨 New England reality check: yesterday oil was <1% of power gen. @isonewengland
At 8:25am today—as winter storm hits—oil surged to 28%, just behind natural gas at 30%.
Limited gas access forces dirtier fuel use in extreme weather—driving up emissions.
We need more #NatGas!

Thank you, @PhillyMayor for your leadership in having this historical marker placed for the Hon. Marian B. Tasco. Marian has had an incredible impact on my life, and the lives of so many others. Her leadership and courage has inspired many people across the city and our country!!
This morning was personal. Today we unveiled a City of Philadelphia Historical Marker in honor of my mentor, my political mother, my everything—Marian B. Tasco.
How do you find words for someone who helped to shape your life? Marian saw promise in me when I was a young woman, hired me to serve alongside her in City Council, encouraged me to run for the Pennsylvania House, urged me to step up for the 9th Councilmanic District when she retired, and supported me every step of the way—even when I decided to run for Mayor of Philadelphia.
As I’ve always said, I stand on the shoulders of so many incredible women who paved the way — but no one ever paved the way for me more than Marian Tasco.
Today, we honor her legacy as a trailblazer, a kingmaker, and a fearless champion for Philadelphia.
Boss Lady, congratulations. This marker is only a fraction of the true impact you’ve left on our city.

As energy demand grows, one big question remains: How do we keep energy clean and affordable?
Read our latest newsletter, where we explore the energy affordability crisis—and how natural gas and renewables can help power an affordable, reliable, and sustainable future for all:
Too many American families are having to choose between heating their home & putting food on the table – but it doesn’t have to be this way.
Watch as Rep. Kendrick Meek & I lay out a clear path forward to cutting emissions while keeping energy affordable.

All-or-nothing energy policies & red tape—though often well-intentioned—are backfiring on the communities they aim to protect by driving up costs & prolonging dependence on dirty fuels.
Discover what it will take to build an affordable, reliable & clean energy future for all:
May God Bless the soul of #PopeFrancis, the kindest person I've ever met. His ministry to the poor, the forgotten, and the voiceless represent a model of humanity. His visit to Phila was an incredible experience for all of us. Well done, good and faithful servant, well done.
Blocking natural gas projects has hindered climate progress while leaving marginalized communities behind in the clean energy transition. Democrats must recognize natural gas plays a key role in driving down emissions while ensuring access to affordable energy to fuel our lives.
Opposition to natural gas projects has driven Northeast electricity prices 40% above average, hitting low-income communities hardest.
@SenLandrieu and @ppi’s @Elan_Sykes urge Democrats to back an all-of-the-above energy strategy to ensure affordability: https://t.co/KxzFUNFuiO

Without permitting reform to expand natural gas infrastructure, minority communities will bear the brunt of rising energy costs.
We can reduce emissions without sacrificing affordability.
I urge Democrats to act and ensure no one's left behind in the clean energy transition.
NEW: @SenLandrieu urges Congress to take action on permitting reform to expand America’s natural gas infrastructure—ensuring we can meet surging energy demands driven by AI growth while keeping energy affordable for families and reducing emissions.

This @ppi report should serve as a wakeup call to Washington that we cannot sacrifice affordability in our pursuit to reach net-zero. And we don't have to. Natural gas is an affordable and reliable solution that lowers energy costs and reduces emissions for all Americans.
NEW: In a study examining how energy insecurity disproportionately impacts low-income Black & Latino communities, @ppi urges lawmakers to adopt a pragmatic, affordability-first approach that cuts costs & enhances reliability, while reducing emissions: https://t.co/qep9au5PfT
