🚨 INSANITY ALERT: NEW CALIFORNIA LAW WOULD ALLOW TAX DOLLARS TO FINANCE CAMPAIGNS

Prop 4 is an insane proposition that would repeal the ban on tax dollars (sales tax, property tax, and general fund money) from being used to finance politicians campaigns.

Here’s the breakdown on what the votes would do:

✅A “yes” vote supports repealing the ban on public financing of campaigns, enacted in 1988, and allowing the state and local governments to create programs that provide candidates with public funds under spending limits and eligibility rules.

❌A “no” vote opposes repealing the ban on using public funds for election campaigns, keeping the prohibition in place with the existing exemption for charter cities.

After they said the state was broke because of Donald Trump and HR 1, they now want to allow our cities to spend money to finance politicians campaigns.

Most Americans know June 14th as Flag Day. Far fewer know the remarkable story behind the flag itself.

On this day in 1777, in the midst of the Revolutionary War, the Second Continental Congress passed a short but historic resolution:
“Resolved, That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation.”

At a time when the colonies were fighting for their very existence, they needed more than battlefield victories they needed a single, unifying symbol of their new identity. Before this resolution, American forces flew a patchwork of regimental colors, colonial banners, and even the Grand Union Flag that still incorporated British elements. The 1777 Flag Resolution created something distinctly American.

The phrase “a new constellation” was deliberate and poetic. It evoked the image of thirteen stars forming something entirely new in the heavens a fresh nation born of thirteen sovereign states united in common cause. The design was practical for the era easy to recognize at sea and on the battlefield yet rich with meaning.

While the popular legend credits Betsy Ross with sewing the first flag, historical evidence points strongly to Francis Hopkinson a signer of the Declaration of Independence from New Jersey and member of the Continental Congress’s Marine Committee as the primary designer. Hopkinson himself claimed credit for the flag in official correspondence in 1780.

Over the following decades the flag evolved with the nation:

In 1795 Two new stars and stripes added for Vermont and Kentucky.

In 1818 Congress returned to the original thirteen stripes and established the rule that a new star would be added for each new state on the Fourth of July.

It wasn’t until 1916 that President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation establishing Flag Day nationwide. In 1949, President Harry Truman signed the Act of Congress that made June 14 a permanent national observance.

The flag we honor today is far more than fabric and dye. It is the visible embodiment of the covenant between the states the same union that would later be perfected under the Constitution.

It has flown over battlefields, courtrooms, schoolhouses, and homes for nearly 250 years as a reminder that this republic was built on principles, not power. Fly it proudly today.

Teach its real story. The flag deserves to be known, not just seen.

💔 A mother, standing in the ashes of her daughter's burnt down preschool, looked Governor Gavin Newsom in the eyes and asked the questions every California parent is screaming inside:

"Why was there no water in the hydrants?

That was my daughter's school. I live here. What are you going to do?"

Her voice cracked with raw pain, her little girls watching as their world literally burned around them. While homes turned to rubble and families lost everything, the hydrants ran dry. Water that should have been there to protect innocent lives... wasn't.

And she offered to fill them herself if that's what it took.
This isn't just a "failure." This is the heartbreaking reality of leadership that puts politics, regulations, and priorities over people. Over our children. Over the families who built lives here and trusted the system to keep them safe.

How many more mothers have to stand in the ruins begging for answers? How many more schools, homes, and memories have to burn before real change happens?

California deserves leaders who prepare. Who ensure water flows when it matters most. Who put families FIRST not last.

Pray for this brave mom and her daughters. Pray for every family still hurting from these fires. And demand better. Our kids are watching. Our future depends on it.

The term "democracy" never appears in our Constitution. The term "democratic republic" didn't emerge until the 19th century though it became widespread in the 20th century. We are a constitutional republic with a democratic process of electing people, but there is a huge difference.

The framers warned against democracy many times against the mob mentality and warned of factions. Unfortunately, since the early 1900s and the rise of the Progressive Era, we have seen our government shift toward more democracy, and people on all sides, uneducated on this, keep saying "Save Our Democracy." This is completely wrong.

There is a great book on it called Republic or Democracy: Does It Matter? by Don Jans. I highly recommend it he takes all the framers' writings and founding documents and puts them all together through the story of our constitutional republic's founding.

I also highly recommend studying the Federalist Papers more deeply.

James Madison in Federalist No. 10 (1787): He argued that democracies "have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths."

In contrast, a republic especially a large, federal one like the US could refine and enlarge the public views, controlling factions through elected representatives rather than direct votes on every issue.

Madison again in Federalist No. 39 (1788): He defined the U.S. government as "in strictness, neither a national nor a federal, but a composition of the two," but crucially, a republican one: "It is of a republican, not a democratic form... If we resort for a criterion to the different principles on which governments are established... the Constitution conforms to the republican principle... deriving all its powers directly or indirectly from the great body of the people."

Here, he nods to democratic elements popular sovereignty via elections but insists on the republican structure to avoid "democratic" excess.

John Adams (in a 1814 letter): "Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There never was a Democracy that did not commit suicide."

The Constitution itself: Article IV, Section 4 guarantees each state "a Republican Form of Government," with zero mentions of "democracy." The word doesn't appear in the Declaration of Independence either intentionally, given the era's associations of democracy with chaos.

Even Thomas Jefferson stressed republicanism: "The republican is the only form of government which is not eternally at open or secret war with the rights of mankind."They knew Athens' democracy led to Socrates' execution and endless wars, while republics like Rome offered more stability.

But really, the confusion and the widespread use of "democratic republic" to describe the U.S. really took off in the 19th century, as the country evolved from its founding republican ideals toward broader popular participation. In the 20th century, especially post World War II, "democratic republic" became standard in civics education, government materials, and official descriptions. That is the problem.

🚨 Shocking moment from the CA Governor Debate: Xavier Becerra says he’ll blatantly break the law by declaring a fake “emergency” on home insurance to seize “extraordinary powers.”

When Steve Hilton and moderator Julie Watts called him out “You cannot use the Emergency Powers Act that way!”

Becerra doubled down: “When you declare a state of emergency, you have extraordinary powers.”

California already has a severe insurance crisis. Companies are fleeing the state in droves because of skyrocketing risks, regulations, and lawsuits.

Becerra’s plan to arm them with emergency powers won’t fix anything it will push even more insurers out, leaving homeowners with fewer options and even higher costs (or no coverage at all).

This isn’t leadership. It’s tyranny in plain sight.

If politicians can invent emergencies to bypass laws whenever they dislike market realities, what’s next? Your business? Your property rights? Free speech?

This dangerous precedent destroys checks and balances and normalizes abuse of power just like we saw stretched during COVID.

California deserves real solutions, not power grabs that make the insurance crisis worse.

For decades, Democrats have controlled California politics.

• State Senate: Democrat-controlled since 1975
• State Assembly: Democrat-controlled since 1996
• Every Governor since 2011 has been a Democrat

California is now the 4th-largest economy in the world.

So why does it also have:
– The largest homeless population in America?
– Some of the highest taxes in the nation?
– Sky-high housing and living costs?

At some point, we have to stop blaming everyone else and start demanding accountability.

Spiritual Attacks Are Real And Last Night Was One

Last night, President Trump faced his third assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents Dinner. A gunman opened fire and tried to breach security while the President, First Lady, Vice President, and others were inside. Once again, God protected him. Trump walked out unharmed and addressed the nation.

This is a clear reminder: Spiritual warfare is not just “out there” it’s happening in real time, in our nation, and in our own lives.

You know you’re on the right path when the attacks increase. The enemy throws fiery darts but God has given us everything we need to stand.

Ephesians 6:14-17 tells us to put on the full armor of God so we can extinguish every flaming arrow of the evil one.
Throughout history, the greatest disciples faced the fiercest attacks:

The Apostle Paul was beaten, stoned, shipwrecked, and imprisoned yet God protected and used him mightily.
Stephen was stoned to death as the first martyr yet he saw heaven open.

Early Christians faced lions, fire, and swords attacked relentlessly, but supernaturally guided and protected.

You can be attacked and protected at the same time.
If you are walking with God, nothing touches you without His permission.

Every trial has a purpose to refine you, strengthen your faith, and advance His Kingdom.

Put on the Armor daily.
Resist the devil. Pray. Quote Scripture. Declare God’s victory.

The battles are real, but temporary.

Our God is greater and our eternity is secure.
Romans 8:31 says “If God is for us, who can be against us?”

The Constitution didn’t originally start with “We the People of the United States.”

At the Constitutional Convention, early drafts actually listed every state by name:

“We the People of the States of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia…”

That got changed and a lot of people assume it was purely about big democratic ideals. But part of it was a technical reality: they didn’t even know which states would ratify it yet. So instead of naming states, they generalized it.

And here’s where it gets interesting.

The framers weren’t trying to create a democracy. Many of them, like James Madison, openly warned about the dangers of majority factions and mob rule. The system they built checks and balances, the Electoral College, the Senate was designed to filter and restrain raw majority power.

So when people today invoke “We the People” as a slogan for direct, majority driven action or “protecting democracy,” it’s worth remembering that phrase wasn’t originally about simple majority rule. It replaced a list of states partly for practicality, and it sits inside a system intentionally designed to limit how far pure democracy can go.

In other words, the opening line sounds like a call to mass rule but the structure that follows was built to slow it down, check it, and sometimes resist it.

Some big names have shifted full anti-Trump. Others are full pro-Trump and insist that he can never be criticized and anyone who questions him or expresses any skepticism about anything he does is a traitor to the cause. Fewer and fewer prominent figures on the right are staking out the only actual sane position, which is that Trump is a politician who sometimes we will agree with and sometimes we will not agree with, and our right and responsibility as Americans is to be honest in either case.
