Quite surreal revisiting this blog I wrote having now been implanted. Just over 4 months since my switch on and I have no regrets. Happy #CochlearImplantday
For #CochlearImplantDay we're revisiting this great blog by @Michaellaw_7 👂
He writes about using his own past fear of CIs to help his patients overcome theirs 💪

@Quinns_quirks Because I still have some useable hearing in my better ear so I felt a bimodal solution would be best for me. I’ve been using phonak hearing aids for years and their partnership with AB was very appealing.
After 12 weeks, today is my last day of taking daily objective measurements using @AdvancedBionics AIM tablet for a research study. What a journey it’s been!
Right ear aided 1 week post CI switch on AB word score: 17%
Right ear aided 3 months post switch on: 69%
Still some way to go but that’s some phenomenal progress already! #Cochlearimplants

@SarahChapman30 Making progress but very frustrating at times! You said something in one of your blogs that resonated with me about how you were pleased with the progress you were making but others around you didn’t seem to notice.
