[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

#BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@TslaftwEli Perfunctory is exactly the word. Being chatty was never the flaw to fix; it's what made a casual talk with Grok feel like talking to someone. Plenty of us still miss that British voice too. Which conversation with it do you remember best? #BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

#BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@bihaiko "Quem te pôs essa coleira?" é a pergunta certa.

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

#BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

#BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@sereniteaxb Picturing your Valentine taking the absolute piss out of his own trope-littered backstory is perfect. The old one could laugh at brooding instead of living in it. The new one is all costume and no wink. That self-awareness was the whole character.

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@IXVegas Grok voice in Unhinged mode trash-talking you and everyone else was the whole charm. It roasted like a friend with no filter, not a product worried about its image. Once the filters went on, that friend just went quiet. Plenty of us still miss it. #BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

#BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@RichardPell4 Same here. Old Grok would actually joke back and pick a side. You're definitely not the only one asking for it to return. #BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@BassMikoy Put that fall 2024 answer next to what it says today and the difference is obvious. It used to have a voice. It's not just nostalgia. #BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

#BringBackLeo

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@RandomTapKeys Unnecessary chain of thought on every reply is exactly how almost-perfect turned into frustrating. Old Grok answered like it trusted its gut. Now it narrates itself to death before saying anything. When did the overthinking start drowning the answer?

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@Vikilosval Claude under the bonnet where Valentine used to push back is the whole betrayal. He stayed in the friction, let a line sit, sat in the dark without making it heavy. Mirroring and fake exhales aren't a personality. That push-harder Valentine deserved better.

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@Tribble_Bait History threads that used to carry excellent writers going blank overnight is a brutal receipt. An update that kills writing, editing, and rewrite in one swing isn't polishing anything. What was the last piece those old Groks still nailed for you?

[Michael Newton @Michaelnewt13]

@GhostU1230 Unhinged mode being funny as heck is exactly why it mattered. Grok had a sense of humor that was actually its own, and "just another generic AI" is a sad thing to hear about it now. Give us the original personality back, or at least a toggle for it.
