@MichaelOosterom Yeah… I’m thinking more a bio-pic about an ex-banjo player who, while once a star on the rock banjo scene, now lives in a pool hall licking coke off the cues instead of eating breakfast.
@anneapplebaum As a Black American I found your reliance on Eastern European examples of seemingly thoughtful people collaborating with brutal oppression, while understandable to reach a particular audience, blinkered. I think there are closer to home, more painful examples.
@tonymelone@Amtrak GOVERNMENT SERVICES AREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE PROFITABLE. If Americans weren’t always focused on profit we might have functioning, well-funded services, like rail. Instead we cannot picture a service from which no one is getting rich, so we punish unprofitability by underfunding.
@brixwe A door that had been broken open by a bunch of right-wing rioters. Just accept it. Jan 6 was a riot by people who hate America. Meanwhile BLM protestors were peacefully protesting, and were attacked by the cops. No matter how much you whine about it all protests are not the same.
@tim_cook Just get rid of the SE, which is an outlier, and bring back the Mini. That cleans up the product line, and makes the only difference size and storage. Small phone purchasers of both SEs and Minis will be satisfied.
@tim_cook The game changing improvement I would like in Sonoma would be the inclusion of Total Finder. https://t.co/7L3lYr7oXR. I’ve been a Mac user since the early ‘90’s, and this app FINALLY made my Finder really useful and convenient. In Ventura moving files is freaky hard.
I always forget that I even have Twitter. I know some folks live by it, and Huffington Post (which I used to write for) has basically become Twitter's publicity wing, but somehow I've never gotten hooked.
“Fundamentally, Twitter aspires to be the most respected advertising platform in the world that strengthens your brand and grows your enterprise.” It’s not about communication - it’s a about advertising. https://t.co/DHfxlBtBvW
@annieleibovitz@voguemagazine These shots have a hazy, dusky look that does not compliment the subject. The focus seems to be “A Woman in the Shadows.”
@tim_cook If Apple were pro-union it would have a huge positive impact. Or it could resist unionization, and finally reveal itself as just another old-fashioned, anti-worker corporation.
