I submitted Tears of a Tiger to 25 publishing companies and received 24 rejection notices. The very last letter almost ended up in the discard pile (rejection can be tough!), but I decided to open it, and to my surprise, there was a letter of acceptance from Simon and Schuster.
@sm_wordsmith My MS library opened in 2011 with small 2 shelf bookcases that aren’t mobile. I had 8 of them for pop of 600. That wasn’t nearly enough and Ss overwhelmingly wanted books so I managed to get some mobile shelves from nearby school who was downsizing shelves. It’s absurd!

No librarian, library worker or school staff member should be subject to threats or harassment for simply doing their job. Librarians follow school and district purchasing policies when selecting materials.
We appreciate all the support thus far, but please help us reach our goal. These girls work hard, and would love the support to ensure our end of the year activities and future team meals and awards are the best they can be for these girls!
