@Georgeturnerutb He definitely has the drive to move to a bigger team one day, I think Everton is a good move and city for him but we’d be daft not to include that sell on clause. I’d even be happy with the fee being closer to £10m if the sell on % is then bigger tbf
@louorns That’s what I don’t get. This doubling down from Southampton makes me assume they think he’s got nothing coming his way, but wording outside of the PR circle suggests a ban is inevitable and that’s going to make them look even worse? Silly silly club
@GraemeBandeira I figured, and still assume, a ban is pending anyway? Makes no sense to stand by him even given he is clearly a good coach, it's not worth ruining your reputation within the game which is something, up until now, Southampton seemed to have a very good one with every club, ah well
Great club to go to, not a great manager to play under as a younger player however I think Hackney is extremely tenacious in his personality and will break into whatever team he ends up at. Now give us £15,000,000, £5,000,000 in add ons and a 15% sell on fee, thanks.
🚨 | BREAKING: Everton are currently leading the race for Hayden Hackney.
Tottenham and Crystal Palace are also serious contenders for his signature.
Manchester United like Hackney, but are not expected to pursue a move.

I do actually feel for the Southampton fans at this point. I understand the unjust overall feeling but think most appreciate the fact that what had to be done was done. However the PR cycle that Southampton are in is embarrassing and a stain on English football. Time to go Dragan
I’m sorry but what has happened to the general intelligence of football fans to read absolutely anything and treat it as true, it takes 10 seconds to figure out it’s not a legitimate or serious account. Why on earth am I still seeing it be discussed or retweeted 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
🚨 EXCL: Burnley are pushing to sign Tommy Conway from Middlesbrough in a deal that could reach £12.5m. Sources close to the situation suggest the striker is increasingly attracted by the prospect of Premier League football and has serious doubts about Middlesbrough’s chances of
@rob_fletcher_ Haven’t read the article BUT for years and years we’ve never addressed the teams lack of pace, I think we’d have promoted in several of the most recent seasons if we just had a set of 3/4/5 players with a bit more pace about them
@mattyhynes88 I don’t think we’ve done well at all in that position, but we need a better fit for the football than overall skill level. We will more points with a system fullback, I’m not a fan of fullbacks that can’t run and compete on that side of the game 🤷
@mattyhynes88 Don’t think he’ll do well, nor will wolves but let’s see! He’s very much akin to a Targett signing, need fullbacks who can compete physically. Set pieces will be a plus though I wouldn’t argue with that
@studdy2k I know they got shit at the time but I do miss the adidas kits, I’d be well up for no band this year but it’s a dead cert given the anniversary you’d think? Always the third kit that I look forward to anyway
