🚨 Labour have confirmed they will ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030.
Idiotic.
British carmaking is at a 70-year low.
We need cheaper energy, flexible employment and lower taxes to reindustrialise Britain and bring industry home.
I’m disabled and I’m sick of the current rhetoric against disabled people 👇
We’re vilified as lazy, scroungers who fake our disabilities because we’re workshy.
Headlines scream that we steal from hardworking taxpayers or scamming the government into giving us free designer cars.
Our diagnoses are challenged by politicians and strangers online. We’re told our illnesses aren’t real disabilities or that we don’t try hard enough. We’re a welfare bill, not people.
Hacks without any experience of disability telling us don’t try hard enough. Comment pieces belittling our suffering, dismissing us as malingerers.
Some people even go as far as demanding that disabled people are locked up or worse, culled.
And yet no-one asks disabled people what it is like to be us. The moment we have opinions, we’re shut down and hounded.
The moment we no longer serve as inspiration porn, they want us gone.
@MDMCV2@triffic_stuff_ The shocking bit is the staff's aggressive behaviour, I think. The drink driving aspect that was determined later is unforgiveable though.
Not really sure what the point of Argos is these days. The printed catalogues have long gone and it's all computerised now. So I suppose it's for people who like online shopping but who prefer driving to a shop to do it.

@elonmusk Be careful @elonmusk, as he also can be a bit too extreme with his beliefs but I must admiy, I agreed with him on this. But, had to double check it was him!
You couldn’t stage a more symbolic image. The FIA rushing in to make sure they take away whatever win from Lewis Hamilton they can. A perfect metaphor for Lewis’ entire career, reflecting years of bias, inconsistency and corruption from the FIA.

This should be a nice sweaty hairy day out this weekend. Anyone going ? Fancy it ? ….
More than 50,000 Muslims are set to gather at Britain's largest Islamic festival in a matter of days.
Muslims from around the world are set to attend the Jalsa Salana UK convention near Alton, Hampshire this weekend.
The Jalsa Salana is expecting members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community from over 100 countries to attend, with a staff of nearly 5,000 volunteers.
Organisers said they have "extensive measure in place" to keep attendees safe at the convention - which has been held for around six decades.

Almost no comment on the fact that Andy Burnham is the first Roman Catholic P.M. in UK history
Under The Roman Catholic Relief Act 1829, Mr Burnham is prohibited from advising the King on appointments to the C of E. This will be delegated to a government minister
Rishi Sunak, a Hindu, was not prohibited from advising the King on these matters - one of the quirks of history and the British constitution.
Boris Johnson was baptised into the Catholic faith as an infant but converted to Anglicanism when at Eton.
Tony Blair was an Anglican in office and converted to Catholicism a few months after leaving No. 10.
Andy Burnham is a cradle Catholic and continues to practice his faith. He was educated at Catholic schools, as are his children.
In 2009 he told The Guardian that the three most important things in his life, aside from family, are "Everton FC, the Labour Party and the Catholic church - in that order".
@Lord_Talbot64@RupertLowe10 But I'm not racist, I'm culturalist & surely you don't have to be white to see how grot London is now? It's worse than the filthy trains of the 70's!! I mean, does anyone clean the streets?
