There is not a single shred of logic or intellectual coherence behind a modern politician looking at contemporary South Africa and calling it an administrative success story.

The raw data paints a picture of a catastrophic national collapse under the African National Congress (ANC).

South Africa endures a historic security crisis, averaging an astronomical 70 murders per day, alongside rising rates of violent assault, gang warfare, and armed carjackings.

The country holds one of the worst employment records globally, with the official unemployment rate climbing to a staggering 32.7% and a broader, expanded unemployment metric bleeding out at an unprecedented 43.7%.

Decades of structural misalignment and unchecked state corruption have driven a once vibrant industrial hub into persistent economic stagnation, marked by broad based job losses across manufacturing, mining, and agriculture.

The foundational grids of the country are in an advanced state of decay, hyper strained infrastructure, collapsing municipal systems, and the rampant theft of vital utilities.

Rather than achieving post-apartheid equality, the current political model has overseen an explosion of rampant poverty, systemic housing shortages, and deep institutional inequality.

New Yorkers should be absolutely terrified that their newly elected Mayor, Zohran Mamdani, explicitly invoked the ANC's Freedom Charter as an ideological touchstone during his inaugural address.

Actively preaching the "South Africanization" of the largest metropolis in the United States is not "progressive policy," it is a blueprint for municipal suicide.

To look at a 30 year legacy of de-industrialization, and state sanctioned lawlessness, and label it a model worth replicating, is straight-up stupid.

South Africa remains a breathtakingly beautiful country rich in human potential, but its current governing apparatus stands as a stark warning of what happens when a nation trades objective competence for ideological posturing.

She’s sitting peacefully with her dog on a bench in public, and this guy walks up, throws dirt at her dog, and then threatens to kill him with his gestures. He won’t leave her alone. He keeps telling her to leave. She stands her ground.. He then proceeds to touch the dog and that’s when she gives him a nice little fist in the throat and shoves him away.
