Encouraged to join 450+ pastors and ministry leaders in Detroit last week at Little Caesars Arena praying, learning, and dreaming about local and global church planting. Grateful for the leaders and ministries helping inspire the Church toward the Great Commission. @kevinpalau @tti_global

One takeaway: many are rightly passionate about equipping and supporting indigenous church planters around the world.

The beautiful reality is that God often advances His mission through partnership—local leaders and long-term cross-cultural workers serving side by side. This is especially important in areas that have little to no gospel witness and where the local church is under-resourced.

Pro-tip: When working with a mission agency the church should be an active participant in the journey of their missionary being sent—from recruitment to deployment. This sets up a foundation for great communication, collaboration, and care when on the field . #church #missions

@bradleyrbell I think part of this answer is to look to those missionaries that have come home from the field for retirement or even home service. They are cultural experts who can help the church contextualize their strategies for local engagement.
