Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.
More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸

It is with much sadness we share that we lost Indie 🌈💔.
Her kidneys just couldn’t recover & shut down.
Mom is incredibly grateful to have had some time of caring for her, knowing her & loving her.
She was a wiggly, sweet, happy girl with a touch of spunk & spirit.
She was very loved by mom & our vet staff.
X is acting crazy. Followers/followed disappearing, MY posts aren't showing on MY timeline. I am posting this to see if I see it, but if frens see it, could you let me know? It was SUPPOSED to be the start of our special fun week. 😡 @weeklybeagle@LolaPatolla
We’re giving $10k to animal rescues this month, and YOU decide who gets it!
Where does the money come from?
Google made $225 billion last year. We wondered: what if there were a search engine that donated ad revenue to save dogs? So we built it - https://t.co/fEWKG7tIUs
How to vote:

🔁 Retweet to spread the word
💬 Comment with the rescue or shelter’s name (tagging them is best)
Every unique comment = 1 vote for that rescue. The 10 rescues with the most comments get $1,000 each. No catch, no fine print.
(And try searching on DogDog just as you would on any search engine — every search helps raise money for shelters)
Voting ends 3/31. Full rules: https://t.co/TCmmDsuhDn

Sadly it’s becoming harder and harder to show you what we actually do here.
The algorithm does not favour this kind of work. It pushes other content instead.
Visibility is down. Engagement has dropped.
So a lot of what we do just isn’t reaching you anymore.
And if I’m honest, I’m now second guessing what I post in case it gets flagged or suppressed which was never how this account worked before.
I also can’t do what I’ve always done here, call things out, challenge what’s wrong and push to put it right
So we’re building elsewhere
If you want to see what we’re actually doing, follow us on
Bluesky, Substack and YouTube. We will have a new social media manager from April onwards.
I’m sorry it’s come to this. This has always been our platform, and you followed me because I never stayed quiet when something wasn’t right. I really hope things change on this platform
RESCUE COOP, aka Lola Patolla on X posted this Before & After video. They have rescued over 500 dogs. Give them a Follow, Donate to $5 Fridays and fall in love with the underdog.
Our only order this WEEK for @carrotcottagerr is now made up. We’ve stopped getting website views and sales. Possibly, our posts aren’t being seen as much either. The website has never been so quiet! Please all share some posts, we need sales to pay our monthly site fees and other costs. https://t.co/Pm5u0ZdQCU Non UK? Message to order
@RoryTyer@MeghanMcCain When my daughter was in the NICU there were local hotels that would give a substantial discount to parents with children admitted to the hospital. Ask the nurses if they know of any.
