I am absolutely sick of animals being turned into content.
A nesting sea turtle is not a chair. A hatchling is not a prop. Animal suffering is not entertainment.

This one made me furious. And it’s about far more than one turtle.

@tws_pk2 No single organisation can do that.

Two women died trying to get Turkish dogs to safety.

A long chain of events put Allison & Rachael on that road in Romania

This is about that long tail. And two brave women who should have come home.

I've struggled all day to write this post. Nothing feels enough in the face of such a devastating loss.

There is only sorrow at the cruelty of the world, the harsh reality faced by people working to save animals in Türkiye, and the devastation of this tragic accident.

Two rescuers, doing everything they could to get dogs to safety.

Safety snatched away so cruelly.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this terrible loss, and with the dogs who died with them.

We have reached out and offered both our condolences and our support.

There really are no other words.

@catrescuetr1 I spoke to Thea öznur a Turkish rescuer whose content you have here. She is not working with you & is now aware of this account.

Stella’s world is bigger than concrete walls.

Grass beneath her feet. Space to run. The freedom to move away, rest quietly, explore, or simply watch the world go by.

For us, rescue should still leave room for dogs to be dogs 🐾

Do you think dogs need choices too?
