A dear friend of mine and colleague is facing an unimaginable situation, striving to ensure the safety and well being of her family in Gaza. Any support, whether a donation or sharing this message can make a huge difference.
Last day at the @News_IACR@EACRnews@AACR this year in the convention centre😊 Delighted to have had the opportunity to present my research and meet so many amazing researchers!
We kicked off the 🎄🎁Christmas Jumper Day 4 CF 🎁🎄 a little early this year with our @UCD_Conway Christmas Party 🎉! Lots of amazing jumpers and a wonderful community supporting @cf_ireland. Thank you to @eimsryan and her Social Committee for helping organize this! #CJD4CF2023
Amazing for these PhD students @hrbireland
But still genuinely confused why government funded PhD stipends have fallen short of the recommended €25,000 and even worse all other PhDs have been left in the dust?? Make it make sense pls @SimonHarrisTD@IrishResearch @scienceirel
"@PWO_Ireland... demands that @scienceirel, the @IrishResearch, @teagasc, and other #PhD-funding bodies raise stipends to at least a living wage (i.e. €25,000/year) by September [2023] as recommended by the recent review into PhD support in #Ireland." Sign the petition below.

I raised reports that @PWO_Ireland have received documents from Revenue that indicate that revenue view PhD researchers as workers and eligible for taxation. I am awaiting more information from the Minister .
@GalarnykMichael @conorosullyDS @SimonHarrisTD@PWO_Ireland We’re currently being treated as workers by university’s but are not given the same protections and supports. We’re being paid on average €18,500 in a country where minimum wage is €23,000 and living wage is €27,000. We have no parental leave and no job security.
