⚠ The diagnostic & surgery backlog has grown again, as Omicron causes major disruptions in hospitals.

We now estimate the backlog at 161,585 cases, an increase of 7,748 cases from last month.

These estimates are current to Dec/Jan and now include a new type of test...

The estimated backlog now includes a new test: lung function and other respiratory tests, for which we estimate a backlog of 8,848.

These tests help to diagnose, treat and monitor conditions like asthma, COPD and pulmonary fibrosis and assess fitness for lung surgery.

Capacity limits gone for restaurants, licensed premises, ent. venues, in & out sporting events & casinos, homes. Capacity limits gone for outdoor public gatherings but limit of 50 ppl indoors unless proof of vax is req.
