@Covid_institute This hit me HARD following a CPET test. Felt so good, almost euphoric. Then extremely wired. Then PEM crash.
Is that common in our population?
@orthoterminator@sarahnadav Absolutely does not "prove" that long covid is a psychiatric disorder. If you care enough to engage with posts like these, do just even a little bit of research around the physiologic impact of post viral conditions. 🙄
@bhanlon15 I have POTS and I truly can't imagine a scenario where I could simultaneously accidently press the pedal to the metal at 100mph whilst maintaining enough control to take the turns she did prior to the crash.
@calirunnerdoc I don't blame him. Is he wrong? There are no specific biomarkers and no diagnostic test exists. There are more than 200 symptoms reported with the illness.
I have Long COVID and I don't even like to call it that. The system isn't built to support it.
@DrJMarine@JeromeAdamsMD I prefer saying I'm dealing with post-viral illness, because unfortunately there's a stigma with anything COVID-related. My agenda is not to push a narrative. It's simply to heal, and get back to baseline so I can get back to a career and life I love.
@DrJMarine@JeromeAdamsMD I am diagnosed with "Long COVID", through process of elimination. Viral reactivations, low ferritin, elevated CRP, objective/new onset cognitive challenges, etc. But I see your point - none of these things are specific to COVID.
@jossyoursalad69 Of course neurotypical people are diagnosed with LC and or ME/CFS. Many of us undergo extensive neuropsych testing which would uncover ND if it was a factor.
@ThePOTSPostman I'm gonna say PEM is the worst, because it's so unpredictable and just a little cognitive/physical/emotional exertion can mean hours of crashing or weeks of crashing.
