There’s a whole lot of winding up that is exhausting for kids & families as we wrap up the school year. How can we hold space in schools for unstructured play to counter-act the anxiety that comes from being over-scheduled this time of year? https://t.co/c2xm1mi6nq
@CindyPAndrew1@sd62@Sd62HappyValley It's an impromptu end of the day sale next week. The kids came up with it after we were $20 short of our class goal for the PAC Walk-a-Thon. We're working on the details but the plan is herb bouquets and sunflower seeds. Yes, lots of learning all across curriculum! I LOVE it.
We're sorting "good" and "bad" seeds, counting groups, and designing sunflower seed packs to sell. The seeds were collected from our very own garden last fall. Thoughtful ideas and planning by grade 2s. #beeambassadors@sd62@Sd62HappyValley
HV Gr 2s are building more garden lasagne beds! Our big plan is to create a perennial pollinator garden to attract bees to our existing food forest. We're excited to notice that bees are already enjoying our flowering kale!
