One of our younger team members organised this in his own time, because he saw a need and it was a huge success with 200 people attending. Sun was shining and silage was itching to be made but nearly every contractor in Mid/Sth Canterbury had their crew there.
Is anyone else finding it harder and harder to employ tractor drivers? If you know of anyone that loves tractors as much as we do please send them our way.

Was pretty cool to end the World Potato Congress with a gala dinner and even better when Allan got an award presented to his family for his contribution to the Potato Industry.
Great start to the World Potato Congress in Adelaide. Market visit this morning and checking out what the Pye Group across the ditch are up to. @PotatoesNZ
Happy World Milk Day!!! So exciting being so close to the International Day of the Potato that we had to sneak some chips in!! Dairy and spuds - the perfect match/mash😉.
We couldn’t let the International Day of the Potato go by with out acknowledging this fantastic, versatile and not so humble anymore vegetable that can be enjoyed in so many ways and is such a huge part of our business! So why not go any enjoy some now!! @PotatoesNZ
Thanks to our industry body Irrigation NZ, @WinningV1 and team we have managed to slash this cost by more than half. On their advice the assessment is now broken down into 2 parts. Depending on the initial assessment the 2nd part may not be required. True value from INZ💪🏻
Just received a proposal for Dam Hazard Classification for our irrigation pond - $14,510 plus GST. Still question the cost/benefit of this regulation but so grateful for a law change that means we only need one classified and not 11.

Best ad I’ve seen in a long time and better still it features our good friend and neighbour Nick Tayler. What a star. @PotatoesNZ

Sorry about the FB link but if you want to see what a difference 50 years make and love a bit of farming history it’s worth a look. @PotatoesNZ

I’ve been crawling along heading into Ashburton for over 30mins and only just getting to the 50km sign. I’d hate to see how far back the traffic is backed up. We need to stop grinding our country to a halt and build a second bridge . @JamesMeagerMP
