@JayOnSC@CraigJButton I have seen first hand the impact of public humiliation in the business world. I can't imagine the massive frustration for both coach and team, with so much at stake and so much losing. Humans express all kinds of emotion. Nonetheless, perception is reality. Shaming NEVER works.
@MocJock@SadClubCommish I agree. And it was in the heat of the moment. We can't imagine the frustration that coaches and players go through, even when they know the team should be better. Tocc was tough but delivered his messages differently. Public humiliation NEVER works. In sport, business, anywhere

Why the hell isn't this happening? Air Canada have stopped answering the phone for hours on end. There is NO WAY to find out anything about anything. What are we supposed to do when we can see alternative flights with other airlines that we as passengers SHOULD be booked on?
@GradySas I keep thinking that this must be on their minds as they said they'd do whatever it takes to keep our captain. If they do it, they'll give up a LOT, plus more CAP space would still be needed.
@CanucksArmy Ecstatic. Brock is a clutch scorer, a character guy and this is a win-win with a rising CAP. Canucks need to ensure he has a great centre to play with. Common sense prevailed when you consider the lack of scoring talent in free agency and the players who were out of reach.
@imacSportsnet I am SO happy with this news. Says so much about a guy who loves playing for the Canucks. He could have got way more $$ elsewhere. Total character human. A great deal!
@Gronkxl87l@imacSportsnet Let's hope they figure that part out. I have faith. Good thing CAP is going up and things will get better, if not immediately.
@SatiarShah Totally agree that it's all about results. What are your thoughts on what this might mean for Manny? Can they have Manny as an assistant with Foote, or will he leave?
@sekeresandprice@JeffMarek@mattsekeres@justBlakePrice I agree. And he spoke again today in a way that made me feel some hope. Rutherford is a proud man who wants to go out on a high. He admits his shortcomings and takes responsibility. It's been a bad season, and I don't know who else could have fixed it or would have been as honest
@CanucksHouse@taj1944@DonnieandDhali Or longer. How does that less-than-memorable time rank compared to the Miller-Petterson drama? Two grown men who totally screwed up everything by acting like babies. It could set us back even further unless this management group can perform miracles this summer.
