Former MSP/MP. Irked by misuse of ‘crescendo' 🎶 . speaker, conference chair, politico. Border terrier lover. ‘’Admirably blunt’’. it’s all in the book…
@fraserihudghton@GlasgowAdvocate I don’t think that is correct. Under the fiscal framework the SG retains all outturn revenues recovered in 🏴. They are fully hypothecated although there is a time-lag.
A further statement has been issued by Nicola Sturgeon:
“Today the media is reporting details of items that my former husband has now admitted buying with SNP funds. I have seen questions raised about how I could not have known about this. I want to reiterate that I had no

Nicola Sturgeon has released a further statement through her solicitor, Aamer Anwar.
"In respect of any items I was aware of Peter having purchased, I had no reason to doubt that he had used his own money"
The Presiding Officer has informed Parliament of changes to business.
Kenneth Gibson MSP has made key changes including:
🟣 FMQs now twice a week
🟣 Questions for FMQs will NOT be published in advance
🟣 More General Questions
New Holyrood presiding officer Kenny Gibson is overhauling FMQs

Scottish Rugby is immensely saddened to learn of the death earlier today of former Scotland and British & Irish Lions centre, Scott Hastings. He was 61.
I regret to inform you that we will be publishing a detailed analysis this week of the £5m payment to Nigel Farage, and whether it's taxable. It is likely to annoy *everybody*.
(except tax advisers, which is all that matters)
Well done Kenneth Gibson. He was an excellent independent Convenor during last Parliament. A very clever man whose talents have been too under-utilised thus far.
Kenny Gibson says he’s a “repentant sinner” and a “poacher turned gamekeeper” as a result of his election as Presiding Officer. Says the era of a “dull” Parliament is over and the result was “unexpected for the Scottish Government”

BREAKING: Reform UK leader Nigel Farage bought £1.4m house in cash shortly after receiving £5m personal gift from crypto-billionaire Christopher Harborne.
Reform says the "offer and process" of buying the property commenced before gift. Intriguing story by @AliFortescue
The Scottish Government has already had a very positive consultation on the need for anti SLAPP legislation with a commitment from @theSNP ln its manifesto to move forward and legislate. Scotland must not be held back by failure at UK level. @JohnSwinney
This is good and I understand manifestos have been issued too. Wonder why other candidates aren’t participating - do they think they have it in the bag or not as organised?
I hope all MSPs want to see the best calibre of PO.
MSPs Liam McArthur and Kenny Gibson will take part in an impromptu Presiding Officer hustings in Holyrood tomorrow. First time one has been held. Event organised by Stephen Kerr.
I have to say I have a great deal of sympathy for the case made here by @RealStephenKerr - the PO is fundamental to the operating culture of the institution and the successful applicant should be chosen after a rigorous process. This will command confidence.
'Stitch up': Tory MSP @RealStephenKerr calls for hustings to be held as part of the appointment process for Holyrood's presiding officer.
It comes as names as diverse as Maggie Chapman, Kenneth Gibson, Liam McArthur and Clare Haughey are being floated
