The Lord is Jennifer Lyell’s Shepherd. She shall no longer long to see right made of wrong. She has walked through the valley of the shadow of death. She fears no evil, for he is with her and she, with him. His rod and his staff, they comfort her. He prepares a table before Jennifer in the presence of her enemies. He anoints her head with oil. Her cup overflows. Surely Goodness and Mercy have walked her all the way home. She now dwells in the house of the Lord forever.
We need to give time and space for this prayer, time to listen and to respond to what the Lord speaks to our hearts. Whatever He shows you, respond, repent, and receive His unfathomable mercy and grace, which He so lovingly pours out at a moment’s notice.
Jesus said, “Beware of the false prophets (the pseudo prophets) who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Mt. 7:15). They look like the sheep category and behave like the wolf category. Their accurate or orthodox words ARE the sheep’s clothing.
May you be someone to whom God entrusts much because of your pure and powerful heart. May mountains move when you pray. May people change because of your love. And may the atmosphere shift because of the very real presence of God in your life. All things are possible with Jesus.
May Jesus Himself lift you up & make you strong. May He heal those hidden areas that surface time & time again. May He bring wholeness & health to your mind, body, & spirit. May He strengthen you & fill you with faith so you'll dare to take the risks He puts before you.
The work of redemption in broken places is a hard and dark place to go, but it is also a place of great beauty and hope. Shackles fall away, crippled feet run, stooped backs stand straight, truth is embraced, and hopes bloom.
Often, the more we heal, the easier it is to remember our good memories. May God continue His beautiful, important, soul-stirring healing process in your life.

We often trust others in positions of authority because we assume that those with knowledge, intellect, and skill MUST be trustworthy. But that is not always the case. How often have we seen that the power that comes with knowledge, intellect, and skill can be abused?
Children are instead malleable, which means they are shaped by the forces in their lives, and in the case of ongoing interpersonal trauma, they are being shaped by evil, neglect, rage, and abandonment. Such forces do not shape a child in normal ways.
Contrary to popular belief, children are not resilient, a word that simply means they can return to their original state. They do not “bounce back” from abuse.
An abused child learns that trust is foolhardy, love is a word you use when you want to make someone do something they do not want to do, hope is a setup because nothing ever changes anyway, & caregivers are unpredictable and inflict pain. The impact of ongoing abuse is profound.
May you pause long enough to thank God for the blessings you enjoyed today. May you breathe a prayer of thanks for the countless ways He's been good to you. May you take the truth of God's love and mercy into your sleep hours. May you awake refreshed and renewed!
When we use God’s sacred Word in a way that harms another, commanding them to do wrong, manipulating them, deceiving them, or humiliating them, we have spiritually abused them.
