I might not like what City did, but I like Pep.Let’s be honest, if you’re not into any shady deals, you probably can’t afford Pep.
Barcelona is not a stranger to the kind of financial controversies surrounding City. Bayern, though, seems different from the other clubs Pep has managed and honestly, if I were in Pep’s shoes, I wouldn’t stay around and risk staining my legacy.
What I understand about football is simple: people can get involved in shady dealings every day. The difference is who gets caught and who gets exposed.
I believe Manchester United under Sir Alex had their own questionable dealings with officials back then. Chelsea have had their own shady moments too, and I’m sure that story didn’t suddenly disappear.
But City are the ones facing the FFP/financial-rule case now.
Pep has built a huge legacy. I just wouldn’t want anything happening around the club to become the thing people remember him for. 🧠
