These grants support areas of need identified by schools & educators, including physical activity equipment, FLAG football, recess enhancements & inclusive physical education, and well-being resources, with a goal of getting students active for at least 60 minutes every day.

Michigan #HeartPowered advocates Greg and Erin Kowalewski took their story to Capitol Hill this week, calling on Congress to increase access to AEDs and CPR by funding the bipartisan HEARTS Act.

The @AANmember and the @american_heart have awarded one of the two 2026 Ralph L. Sacco Scholarships for Brain Health to Cali McEntee, Ph.D., of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She will receive a $150,000 two-year scholarship to support continuing scientific research in brain health.
