I signed a bipartisan bill that will deliver $152 million in funding to upgrade the infrastructure at Selfridge Air National Guard Base and ensure the base is ready for the new F-15EX fighter jets arriving by 2028.
This is a huge win for Michigan and our national security.
I just finished signing legislation to protect Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Macomb County. I couldn't have gotten this done without Senator Hertel, who has been fighting for this base and the jobs that support it for years. So glad we got it done!
The State of Michigan is making serious investments to get Selfridge ready for our incoming KC-46 and K-15EX missions. I pressed the Air Force to make sure Selfridge now receives the federal funding it needs to make critical upgrades and finish the job before these aircraft touch down in Macomb County.
The event brings together government, military & industry partners to evaluate next-generation #UAS technologies designed for future battlefield operations. Of note, Phase II will award a minimum of $300 million in prototype delivery orders. Learn more: https://t.co/YbL0tv359g

Gold Star families endure an unimaginable pain losing a loved one that made the ultimate sacrifice. We hold a sacred duty to stand by them. We must continue to honor the legacy of those we’ve lost and support the families that carry their light.
