Huge thank you to everyone who was able to help me get this to some of the athletes and staff on the team! :D
It makes me so happy to see/hear that they’re getting support and positive messages and love sent to them and they are receiving the happiness and joy they give us back!
So… just saw a TikTok from the BBC that there’s a Eurovision watch party at a theater somewhere in Washington D.C. If there’s any such watch party in Portland, Oregon I’d very much like to go next year cuz that sounds dope. We need more people in the United States watching ESC
❗️Russian gymnasts have been allowed back into international competitions.

The Executive Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation (World Gymnastics) has lifted all restrictions on Russian athletes and allowed them to compete internationally under the Russian flag and anthem.
The decision applies to artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, acrobatics, aerobics, and parkour competitions.
Sanctions have also been lifted for Belarusian athletes.
“The Russian Gymnastics Federation welcomes the decision of World Gymnastics to fully restore the rights of Russian athletes, returning them the opportunity to compete under the national flag and state anthem. This is an important step toward strengthening the unity of the global gymnastics community and protecting the interests of athletes,” said Russian Gymnastics Federation president Oleg Belozerov.
Sanctions against Russian and Belarusian athletes were introduced in late February and early March 2022 immediately after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The International Gymnastics Federation cited violations of the Olympic truce and the principles of the Olympic movement.
Detroit is so ???? because what do you mean there’s food trucks lining the street outside the jail and upbeat music blaring through the speakers like it’s a street festival 😭
Albania’s televote ranking in the countries where Alis received no points really shows how much the running order hurt him. With a better RO, he surely could’ve gotten 100+ points.

@Blu_Refr@MichiganGymFan I think it’s possible in case the five countries that didn’t participate this year possibly won’t again next year if nothing changes. Either that or more countries will comeback to attempt to replace that ones that boycotted.
