My name is Steve. Iowan by birth, Michigan fan by the grace of Bo. Host of Michigan Podcast. Connor Stalions is a living legend. Oh well, we won the natty.
#Michigan football has vaulted up to No. 6 nationally in the @247Sports Composite Class rankings.
Looks like Kyle Whittingham isn’t too bad at recruiting.
BREAKING: Class of 2027 LB Brayden Watson has Committed to Michigan, he tells me for @Rivals

What am I even watching here? Been watching college hoops since 1983. This is Phi Slamma Jamma, Ewing Georgetown, Augmon/LJ UNLV, Laettner/Hurley/Grant Duke type stuff. Teams that are just playing a different sport than everyone else.
Today marks 9,000 days since the last time Penn State was shutout.
The Nittany Lions were last shutout on October 6, 2001 in a 20-0 loss to Michigan.
That one shutout loss to Michigan in 2001 is the only time Penn State has been shutout at home in the last 60 years.
Still the longest kick return in @UMichFootball history, Seth Smith’s 100-yard touchdown against Wisconsin in 1994 was electric ⚡️〽️
100 days until Michigan Football is back! 🔥

Michigan legend Jalen Rose to Dusty May:
“Thank you for not only bridging the gap, but delivering the goods. The way you handle yourself with class and intellect is something that we can all embody. We're grateful for you. … Shout out to the 2026 national champions. ‘Cause I don't know about Tom Izzo, but I woke up feeling like a national champion this morning. I really did.”

Detroit Lions defenders — time since major injury heading into Week 1 vs. New Orleans Saints:
• Derrick Barnes (knee) — 721 days
• Aidan Hutchinson (leg) — 700 days
• Malcolm Rodriguez (knee) — 654 days
• Alim McNeill (knee) — 637 days
• D.J. Reed (hamstring) — 350 days
The Detroit Lions, similar to how the Philadelphia Eagles are operating, are beginning to build void years into their 2031 salary cap and beyond.
The current NFL-NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement expires following the 2030 season, and the 2031 salary cap could see a major spike with a new CBA and future TV deals.
With more extensions still on deck, the Lions appear to be orchestrating around a five-year window (2026-30) with potential flexibility waiting on the other side.
Apologies to the championship window is closed crowd.
Can’t level the playing field without expansion. Playoff-driven sport now, and all the in-season branding has been playoff-driven since it began. A small group of teams hogged all the recruits during four-team playoff era. Same thing still happening, just a slightly bigger group.
Group of 6 schools - along w/many Power 4s - lack the purse strings to keep their best and brightest in today’s NIL culture. The rich are getting richer; the poor poorer; and the gulf grows wider. CFB leaders should be focused on leveling the playing field - not playoff expansion
Arguably worst stretch in franchise history. Certainly one of the worst 81-game stretches ever. And with no season next year baseball is basically done here until 2028.
Yet another gut-punch for the Detroit Tigers who blow 9th-inning lead to the Baltimore Orioles and lose 5-3 on a walk off.
That’s 8 losses in a row.
That’s 16 losses in the last 18 games.
That’s 1 step closer to putting Tarik Skubal on the trade block.
BREAKING: Four-Star TE Colt Lumpris has Flipped his Commitment from Alabama to Michigan, he tells me for @Rivals

Another HUGE addition to Michigan's class!!
Rivals300 DB Tavares Harrington is one of my favorite players in this class. Super versatile, super skill, an early contributor to the Wolverines imo.
