Today, we joined Michiganders for Money Out of Politics in Lansing as they officially submitted hundreds of thousands of signatures to qualify the Money Out of Politics initiative for the November ballot.
On April 15, home care workers from across Michigan went to Lansing to rally, march and meet with lawmakers to make our voices heard. Our demands are clear: Invest in care TODAY!
Last week, home care worker and SEIU Healthcare MI member Erica was in D.C. making her voice heard. She stood alongside advocates and Rep. Dingell to push for real investment in care through the Long-Term Care Workforce Support Act and the HCBS Access Act. Care work is essential!
Proud to earn the endorsement of @MichiganSeiu! Let’s get to work—raising wages, protecting workers’ rights, and delivering real results for working families. I’ll always have your back in Congress.
SEIU Michigan is proud to endorse @DebDingell for Michigan's 6th Congressional District. Congresswoman Dingell is an undeniable champion of working people and more affordable, accessible care for all.
Home care workers are marching around the State Capitol in Lansing on behalf of tens of thousands of Michiganders who rely on our essential care every single day. Our message to lawmakers: you cannot build a stable care system on poverty wages, zero benefits and empty promises.
HAPPENING NOW: Michigan home care workers are rallying with our union family to put Lansing on notice. Our communities deserve the best care possible. That means state lawmakers must invest in the people who do this work 24/7.
SEIU Michigan is proud to endorse @KarenMcDonaldMI to be the next Attorney General of Michigan. On day one, Karen is ready to fight for working people and champion our members and their families.
SEIU Local 1 Detroit Tigers bargaining committee is back at the table today fighting for the fair contract arena workers deserve.
Arena workers are the backbone of the fan experience, & hundreds are united for fair wages, strong benefits, workplace safety, & dignity on the job.
I'm proud to have the support of @MichiganSeiu.
Their leadership in the fight for fair wages, safe workplaces, and dignity for working people makes our state stronger. Together, we can build a democracy that works as hard as Michigan’s workers do.
SEIU Michigan is proud to endorse @garlin as our next Secretary of State. LG Gilchrist is a true labor champion. On day one, he will be ready to expand ballot access to working people & fight back against the dark money interests trying to interfere in our elections.
A great meeting with Senate appropriations chair and worker champion @SarahAnthony517. We sat down to discuss budget priorities and how we can make a difference for working people all over Michigan.
“This is the crossroads we’re at. Lawmakers in Lansing can continue down the path where home care workers are underpaid, overworked and forced out of jobs we love, or they can finally invest in a home care system that puts our communities first.”

People across Michigan overwhelmingly agree - it's time for a government that works for the people, not conflict of interest corporate dollars.
Thank you @MichiganSeiu@seiuhcmi for endorsing the Michiganders For Money Out Of Politics ballot campaign!
Detroit made history today — electing our first Black woman mayor, @MsMarySheffield
She has always stood with Detroit’s working people — janitors, arena workers, airport workers, security officers, and more — fighting for fairness and a city where every family can thrive.
