A fully voiced project. Whether its a show or a game or even just an audio drama with illustrations.
I can't afford to pay actors, so this might never happen, but I think about it so so much. I'd love to see a character I made have an official voice to hear. 😩
@Tuskbumper Nah that's also why I put Black on my bio. I can't be having people claim I "racefaked" anymore just cuz it never came into conversation and they decided I have to be white no matter what.
The situation in 2020 made people a lot more hostile toward Black people even years after and if you refuse to see this, you are complacent to how your neighbors are treated.
I haven't known peace since shit went crazy with the police and I see people pretending it's old news.
I used to be able to enter communities quietly and without a lot of weird energy. Now I'm constantly stressed about the one white person in a group chat who hates me inexplicably and how their other white friends are going to jump to siding with them even at the cost of lying.
This isn't even me blaming the protests, because they were absolutely necessary. This is me tired of the people who pretended to give a fuck and then the moment the "heat" died down for THEM, they went back to old ways HARDER.
I feel like I can't talk much without being combated, even when the topic isn't a debate or argument or even controversial.
I've been horribly tired these days.
controversial opinion that shouldn't be controversial: if you don't wear a mask, you don't care about immunocompromised people or disabled people. people are still dying.
I think too much about how I want to disappear from social media for like a year. Maybe its petty, but the thing that keeps me from doing that is knowing that no one will probably notice much.
"You're being dramatic."
"You should have more faith in people."
And you should acknowledge that way too many non-Black people are nice to your face and then go talk shit the moment you're gone. They'll also do it right to your face or try to turn your connections against you.
The amount of fake allies that rose from that year is why I don't trust anyone most of the time, and the irony is that I'm proven correct to not trust them everytime.
I’m all for forgiveness and growth, but it always makes me feel weird when people use 2020 as the clear line for when they started to care about social justice issues that have been happening for years.
Unfortunate that this needs to be said every couple of months, but if I find out you support Dr*am I will simply have to block you.
It's not rocket science at this point, you guys are just comfortable in the suffering of others.
definitely one of the ugly truths; many creators can't afford to create with nothing in return
we don't live in a system where that is feasible; silent appreciation doesn't pay bills, and many have to leave their craft to survive elsewhere
support your creators when you can!
