This is a great question for a long answer! As always, these are my thoughts and analysis as a business professional who works in gaming.

Every business decision is made after a lot of consideration, data analysis, and weighing outcomes of multiple decisions. An uninformed/researched decision is a bad one. Yes, even canceling Valko's release was made after doing so.

What about Valko's cancellation?
That is what makes his cancellation such a big deal. It was not due to kneeling down to bullies or wanting to placate them. CDG involved the CPC and pushed a narrative that Infold was anti-chinese, women, and public safety. The face of that movement was Valko. Valko is a multi million dollar asset with a multi hundred million potential profit (given the life expectancy of the game). When the decision to cancel Valko's release (I'm using this verbiage intentionally) was made, it was done to prevent extreme rectification from the CPC closing the studio or causing extreme changes to the game. The potential consequences and loss by moving forward with his release vastly outweighed any benefit. Domestic despised him, global was leaning towards negative, and they had severe accusations against them- canceling him was the best choice for Infold at that moment. (Yes, for a gaming company to cancel a multi million dollar asset with so much potential profit means it was BAD BAD for them)

What about after his cancellation?
Well, given the information they had around the situation on 6.30, I can confidently say they did not expect the backlash at the level and gravity of our boycott. The majority of the player base did nearly a 180 flip on what they perceived. Their post regarding house furniture proves they thought they could continue as normal, but then they immediately stopped when they realized they misanalysed their consumer base. Infold is 100% aware of our boycott and the impacts it has on the company, business, and game. LADS is their main profit maker, making over $1 billion at this point in time. They know the potential of this game and they know how much they need to restore it. At this point in time all data is good data for them. All our posts, hashtags, letters, fanart, fan merch, nuis, etc showcase that Valko has monetary leverage in his character. Using these ads to show that even an inactive Valko ad is still bringing in impressions and interactions gives them more concrete data that bringing Valko is the right move. Even our boycott proves how much our actions impacted them financially, useful for their lawsuits.

It was baaaad for them to cancel Valko so whatever their next statement is regarding him is the permanent decision. The more fuel we give, the better our case! Numbers dont lie- which is why not logging in and not spending is SOOOO important. If our numbers start to fail, we no longer become the more sounds business choice.

I'll wrap this up with my personal opinion. Do I think Valko will return? Without a shadow of a doubt so long as we continue keeping our wallets closed and voices loud. I've had this same opinion since around mid-July. The data shows it. Our boycott isnt a few people- it is massive. They lost 60-70% of their monthly profit in July. That's a lot. Infold is a business and businesses want money. Businesses care about their consumers' happiness because happy customers = more money. We continue to withhold said money, Infold will need to listen to us to get said money. It's a waiting game now as to when they'll bring him back, so again- keep your wallets closed and voices loud. The more data that proves we're the right and sound business choice, the better.

Per my other posts I'll just reiterate here: Love and Deepspace has made about $1 billion dollars in the past 2 and half years. Infold will not give up this IP. Infold will not EOS LaDS.
