unfortunate that the one shift per season thing went from being a kinda cool format that lets you focus on the patients and the hospital itself to thing that becomes an excuse for the writers to bring up things without addressing them again and writing characters off without care

i've been saying this but this format only really worked for one season and then if you think about it too hard you realize that there can't be any substantial character arcs or relationship building because we literally only see these people for one day at a time at work
