You'd probably be fine with any oil lubrication or machine grease then. I definitely wouldn't use WD-40 for something like this. I wouldn't overthink it tbh.

@The_LoZelda Oil and machine lubrication is complicated. Each mfg has different requirements. I typically go by the specific manufacturer's manual for the equipment I have for how to perform maintenance like this because yeah, it is all made up and arbitrary. Source: me, a mfg engineer
