At this point, we believe this is likely a metadata error rather than confirmation of an unrated version.

According to EVIL DEAD BURN director Sébastien Vaniček, at least one brutally violent scene had to be trimmed a bit to get the film an 'R' rating.

He tells @SFXmagazine, "The director’s cut will be way more violent than what we will have in the theater."
