What would YOU do with 6 acres?
In 2022 we moved to Northeast Oklahoma from Central Texas. People ask what we're going to do with our land... Spoiler: it's not a homestead!
Today begins my journey into content creation. After this intro, we start a series on beta-carotene.
No, AI cannot "cure disease" because most disease is rooted in toxicity, and computers can't stop people from exposing themselves to non-stop heavy metals, pesticides, various endocrine disruptors, and torrential amounts of fat soluble slop
How can AI solve that problem? Is it going to pull the glyphosate out of your sloppy ass corn chips? Is it going to take the nickel out of your jewelry? Is it going to remove the mold from your walls? Is it going to force zinc and potassium and magnesium down your throat?
AI will help you treat symptoms. But you are the one who needs to pull the ripcord on the rubbish
Another way to explain why AI won’t be curing all disease soon is that it doesn’t remove the bottleneck.
No, it’s not that it won’t be smart enough. Hell, it’s smart enough now, let alone in a year or 5 years.
But no matter how smart it is, it just moves the bottleneck downstream.
The perfect virtual cell and virtual tissue and virtual human will generate hypotheses, insanely good hypotheses that we’d never come up with on our own.
Then AI will design the experiments to validate the hypotheses and run them in parallel and that’ll get us incredible drugs.
But once we have the drugs we won’t know if they’re cures until we give them to real, live humans and watch them for the rest of their lives.
So amazing treatments, which we already have, are going to start dropping faster than Millennium Prize problems.
(I actually heard Anthropic is dropping 816 drug candidates the weekend before their IPO, BTW. You heard it here first.)
But the point is that you can check a math proof by reading it.
To check a cure you have to observe lots of humans for their entire lives.
So how long does it take to find out if a treatment is a cure?
An entire human lifespan.
That’s the bottleneck.

Good. I eat white rice for easy-to-digest clean carbohydrates, not for arsenic content.
Wash it / rinse it in RO water, soak in activated charcoal, wash it some more.
Nobody needs piss-tier quality niacinamide, iron oxide (rust), or unnatural folic acid.
Use real supplement ingredients for that, and use carbs for carbs. This is total fortification failure.
@SCHIZO_FREQ@ThorTorrens is always talking about getting off caffeine
I'm 3.5 weeks off and due to post an update.
Overall it seems like a net negative for society at this point
@OpamagoAnane If you order a hair mineral analysis through @NutriDetect website you simply get the results. You'd need to add a consultation with Kelsey to get it analyzed.
Whether it's worth it depends on how funky your results are!!
Finishing up my first major long form video. Video editing is brutal but I hope to get it out tomorrow.
It's a background on beta-carotene and what led to the deadly studies on smokers
Follow along and I'll get it up soon
@Jim61792382@ThorTorrens One of them got retracted too. But was it because of actually bad data, or because of a certain subset of beings on this planet not liking the results????
@BeefStewtoo No, but I want my salt to be nothing more than sodium chloride.
Most guys do NOT need to be eating rust (iron oxide) from fancy pink salts
@lukecadell I've said and still maintain that my low-A diet seems to have pushed me from 7 hours to 6.5 hours, but that's also now 10% of my life ago, so things also change in that direction as you age
Just shoot your shot, younger guys
"Hey I'm heading to this party, wanna be my +1 for the night?"
If yes, cool, if no, then you won't be old and gray and regretful
Ethan Hawke Admits He Wishes He Had Dated Drew Barrymore After Revealing He Used To Hope He’d Run Into Her At Parties In The ’90s
Ethan Hawke: “I don’t think I can remember a time in my life when I was not aware of you.”
Drew Barrymore: “What me and every other girl on the planet wouldn’t have given to date you. Where the hell were you?”
Ethan Hawke: “There were many a night in the ’90s when I’d be going to a party and think, ‘Maybe Drew will be there.’”
Drew Barrymore: “Why didn’t you call me? We still had phones back then!”
Ethan Hawke: “I wanted it to happen organically. I thought something magical would happen.”
Drew Barrymore: “And look what happened: nothing!”
This world requires both kinds of individuals. The tribe doesn't need all warriors and hunters and chatty Kathys. You need some gardeners, watchmen, doctors / medicine men, and geeks who build the stuff you use and live in.
Much of the society you enjoy and nearly all of the device you're reading this on were built by these exact type of people who would rather die than join you at a bar or concert.
