Ironically, #1 obstacle to ending homelessness is government.
#2 obstacle is #PovertyInc.
Municipal zoning discriminates against the poor.
#PovertyInc refuses to hold Gov responsible bc you can’t bite the hand that feeds you.

@naehomelessness Stop prioritizing making privileged people happy about projects & bringing them to tears.
Start prioritizing making the homeless & vulnerable happy.
When you have no shelter, modest accommodations are a castle.

Tiny homes are a great idea & a great innovation. They can easily replace "trailer parks" with affordable housing. They are not only for the homeless, many Millenials are attracted to the minimalist concept. A bit of a policy minefield & NIMBY, but worthy it #yyc#yyccc#ableg
@UniteAlberta@North_Resists Really?!
The point is to open your mind & not just accept things as they are just because they've always been that way.
"I'm not saying anything against the cats. They were nice fellows....They passed good laws--that is, laws that were good for cats."
What colour cats are you?
$300,000/unit for each homeless person is hardly "much more efficiently". If we're serious about addressing social issues, we require innovative approaches. #ableg#yyc#yyccc#poverty
