This is one of the most vivid examples of what drives a lot of basketball fans crazy these days. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander obviously isn't the only one who does this, but players trying to get fouled instead of trying to score makes for an awful viewing experience. Sure, it's the smarter analytical play. Free throws are very efficient. But 20 years ago (and maybe even more recently than that), players used pump fakes to then take an open shot. Now, the free throws are prioritized by so many stars.

@Shapalicious Truthfully not surprised, I have never felt this team had true championship potential. If this were the Spurs or Thunder playing this TWolves, they’d be up by 12-15. Nuggets play unserious ball all year long and don’t have that ‘foot on neck’ mentality. Window closed

@FNLoreApproved People around here talk about “lore” but there really isn’t any anymore. Those days are gone. The last few seasons haven’t had lore, it’s just transitions to new maps & brief cinematics to show you. I’m just going to enjoy the gameplay and stop caring that the lore is gone.
