Here’s a stat: @1sam91 will make his 50th @KnoxvilleNats entry next month. IF it is his final entry, the year will be 2061 before we have the same amount of Nationals 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 Sammy as we have had with Sammy. Insane longevity.

📰NEWS - Sammy Swindell Set for Historic 50th Knoxville Nationals Appearance
Knoxville Raceway is proud to announce that sprint car legend Sammy Swindell will make his 50th career start at the Knoxville Nationals during the 65th running of the NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey's this August.
Reaching 50 career Knoxville Nationals entries as a driver is a milestone that may never be matched. The 70-year-old racing icon, a 1983 Knoxville Nationals champion and three-time World of Outlaws champion, continues to add to one of the most accomplished careers in sprint car racing history.
Swindell will pilot his signature #1 out of the Schnee-Lawson Racing stable, made possible through the support of Dan and Candy Lawson. The team is currently scheduled to compete on Wednesday, August 12, during BRANDT Professional Agriculture Qualifying Night.
Fans won't have to wait until Nationals week to see the legendary driver in action. Swindell and the Schnee-Lawson team plan to make several appearances at Knoxville Raceway leading up to the Nationals.
Additional announcements regarding the team's sponsors and special paint scheme will be released in the coming weeks.
Join us as we celebrate one of the greatest competitors in sprint car history and this remarkable achievement.
Question on bringing a moped to the Nationals…
What do I need to do to bring a 49cc moped to Knoxville in terms of registration?
With a golf cart you have to register it with the city and fairgrounds. What’s needed for a moped?

I had to get a new debit card and the first thing I need to change my payment method on is @YouTubeTV, yet when I try to change that method, it just sits and spins. Good job, good effort 🙄
@Pudnite@washboardabs72 This is a fair point. But with that being considered, it also drops the field from 24 to 23. Not to mention, maybe it prevents someone from making their first feature or making a charge through the field. I don’t support participation trophies, but it feels like gate keeping.
