@Jebin_wa On their investor call Q&A today CDPR leadership specifically stated that while it might indirectly serve as a bridge/marketing for The Witcher 4, the expansion is not intended to be an official transition between the two, but a stand alone adventure in the Witcher 3’s world.

@Chaoxfhy I’m also curious about the unannounced other 2026 project that they’re accounting for. What if they just shadow dropped another Cyberpunk expansion? Boom.

@JuiceHead33 Which is awesome to me. Save those stories for The Witcher 4. We don’t need a DLC to explain that. That’s what the game is for. A regular Geralt Witcher 3 expansion unrelated to the next game is fine by me.

@CauldronOfFae @b0ysbrokenheart I think since they’re concurrently making the sequels (ie Witcher 5 is being made as Witcher 4 is released) they are just going to be too busy making the next ones. Before it was “make 1 game, make dlc, move on.” Now it’s “make multiple games at once.”

On their livestream, @CDPROJEKTRED stated that @thewitcher expansion is on the level of a Blood and Wine as far as size goes. That almost brought a tear to my eye. Super pumped! #witcher3 #thewitcher3 #cdpr
