@NealGardner_ What if, just what if we're trying to do what PSG does? Play without a natural number 9, have enough attacking options that we can basically play some of our best players for a few league games a season, and save them for the business end of the Champions league ๐
@AramideOyekunle The difference between a Keke driver and the 9-5er is possibility for scale. The Keke person has almost no possibility for scale, meanwhile the 9-5er with the right conditions, upskilling can 10x their salary in a few years.
@KpCortex@Joe_brendan_ Bro I don't even understand what you're saying: If the average Nigerian woman won't date a Nigerian Man except he's among the top 1-10% of men, so who is now dating you?
@Rmadonyfc_ I know this is click bait, but bro are you this shameless? Is this how you want to make a living, by posting takes that make people question your intellect? Sadly even when you're saying facts you'll be difficult to be taken seriously. You're just baiting your way to irrelevance
A simple statement to remember as regards to covering up a baby: Cold babies cry, Hot babies DIE!.
Open your windows, let air circulate or else baby will start breathing CO2 especially if you have so many people in the room, also use the fan, but don't point it directly at the baby, and at a mild speed. If you have an AC, please use it o, it shouldn't obviously be chilly, but enough to make the environment comfortable. Don't kill Children with heat all in the name of avoiding cold. In countries like Canada how are they coping?
A baby will die faster from heat (SID) than from a cold.
@Joe_brendan_ Thank you Chief, cos honestly I don't know how this people are thinking.
When I see takes like this, I believe they're either not married or people with low self esteem who see marriage as a way to establish the dominance they always thought they lacked!๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ
When I say you're an idealist you say I'm wrong, but you're comparing the game play of Pep and Enrique to Flick? If you can't see the stark difference between both styles of play and the difference in the profiles they need then we shouldn't even be having this conversation.
Flick's style of play demands a striker that can be a threat in the box, any other thing is a bonus. For other managers it was different, but it's not Pep or Enrique who is coaching us currently, so please stop all these reference to the past, they don't hold relevance in this conversation
My problem with you is you have ideas that you're refusing to subject to reality.
Have you seen how many times Kane drops to receive the ball from the goal keeper and creates for Bayern? Do you think Lewandowski can do that?.
Bro let me break this down for you:
Lewandowski is a traditional 9, Kane also is. However Kane has evolved his game to also be a creator, which is good for him and it serves him at Bayern. Lewandowski hasn't done that at Barcelona, simply because Barcelona doesn't need that from him, so in that sense they don't play similarly.
So if you bring Kane to Barcelona because of what I described above that means we will have a good player who age has caught up with and so won't be able to provide what we need from him as a 9 in the long run. We should rather get a 9 who can deliver as a 9 and lewvw the creative work to our creative players. But if find a younger version of Kane, I'll take him anytime, but right now we don't, So Victor is currently a better choice than this current Kane! Simple
You keep saying Barca coded, what exactly is Barca coded? You're an idealist, I'm a realist. And the reality is that football has changed from the ideas you have. Hope you know that Lewandowski is of the similar profile as Haaland and Oshimen, he's more similar to these guys than to Harry Kane in style of play and impact. Infact go and study the reason why Lewandowski struggled in Xavi's second season, it was because Xavi wanted him to play as Kane currently does, but it didn't work because he wasn't that kind of player. Infact one of Flick's major changes as soon as he took over last season was to keep Lewandowski in the box and reduce his touches on the ball, which he also does now. Except when we play teams that press high then we ask Him to receive and bring others into play, which Victor and Haaland does very well.
So this whole idea of being Barca Coded is just idealism that falls flat when it meets the reality on ground.
We're going back to the same problem:
When you face teams with low blocks what do you need?
1. You need highly technical players, who can create chances out of nothing, and Kane can do this no doubt, but do you also know who can do this? Pedri, Lamine, Olmo etc.
2. You need players who can beat players in the air, because against low blocks whether you like it or not, one of the things we will depend on a lot is crosses into the box, so we need players with serious aerial threat, there's no denying that, we also need who can bully players in the box and get themselves free to latch on to passes. Currently we don't have these, (Asides Lewandowski) And Kane can't offer you this for long.
So when it comes down to it, as much as Kane offers somethings Oshimen doesn't, and he's by far a more technical player, I'll rather we get a player who gives us what we lack which is that raw traditional number 9 profile, than Kane who's more technical but age has caught up with him.
