@cassieblooms Im guessing you’ll skip the original OoT for now so TP or WW are pretty good starting points.
MM is a semi sequel to OoT and SS is also good but not perfect.
BotW and TotK follow a completely different formula so it depends on if you want the classic or the modern experience.
@cassieblooms You don’t need to play any of the older games to enjoy the upcoming remake at all but if you want to experience at least some of them, then all of the 3D ones are worth your time. When it comes to 2D they vary a bit more in quality due to age. I like Minish Cap and AlbW the most.
@ChadJustDrums Im curious how they will portrait some of the more cartoony looking characters. They can’t to too realistic because of that without changing the entire character designs.
@LeonErikZ The main criticism of TotK isnt a lack of innovation but that it doesn’t meaningfully change the world it reuses, has weak side content and suffers from a broken story. I agree with your point about OoT but thats completely unrelated to TotKs negative reception from a lot of fans
It won't happen, but the coolest thing they could do with Ocarina of Time is have it continue straight into Majora's Mask without telling ANYONE until players discover it.
Link leaves the castle, retrieves Epona, and heads to the Lost Woods. Skull Kid, Tatl, and Tael follow...
@turbof1sh523@DeathMetalV Originally the concept for him actually was just long nose desert thief from the east whos envious of the rich people next door. Skitty made a pretty convincing video about the accidental racism behind the Gerudo back then.
When the game came out, times were just a bit different.
@ZeldaLoreYT I think they did this kind of intro best in Wind Waker. BotW is also pretty good but TotK feels a bit forced. The imagery doesn’t really look convincingly ancient and it feels more like something that’s trying to look old instead of actually depicting history.
@scadutree@sathrias@erdleaf My favorite is PS5 from the Bloodborne DLC
