Building a better gig economy for drivers with apps that can auto-accept & auto-decline gig request.
This is the reason why the maxymo app allows you to automatically screenshot your offers, if you dont have proof, you wouldn't be able to dispute it. https://t.co/nnToFkTEkA
@uber@sachinkansal Please explain this to me! Driver accepted a trip, upfront fare $23.14, then the Rider added a stop, the original trip is extended by 2 miles and 5 minutes. Trip is finished, Rider tips $15, please take a look at the attached receipt screenshots. Fare drops to $15.11, including the tip, total driver pay $30.11. Upfront fare is shaved by about $8!!! Did Uber steal part of the tip? Looks like it to me @FTC@DeptTransport@dojphofficial

A bigger payout doesn’t always mean a better offer. Maxymo’s Offer Analyzer shows total pay, pay/mile, estimated hourly pay, time & distance—so you can compare offers against your standards and choose what fits your goals. https://t.co/nnToFkTEkA

Your best-looking offer isn’t the whole picture—daily costs affect what you keep. Maxymo estimates your daily take-home by factoring in fixed costs, extras, mileage-based tire wear, maintenance, and planner transfers.

@DriversC2C@brownlynne I have been trying for over a year to help drivers get some laws passed in Oklahoma, which is a Red state and so far I have received nothing but push back from the state reps that they don't want to battle with Uber.
Yep, you are correct, most drivers set their filters to a certain per mile and a certain offer amount. Of course with Maxymo I use the zone filters to let me know me when an offer is outside of my current area, so the offer analyzer would show red and I know it isn't a good offer or to give it a second look.
@DriversC2C Drivers will always know what works best after spending real time on the apps and I don't always work every app every day. That’s why I build Maxymo around feedback from drivers, because they’re the ones out there using it every day.
@DriversC2C Wasn't Maxymo for sure @brownlynne 😂 But I would typically refund anyone if they messaged me in the first month. 😃 @boston_drives Maxymo is on IOS & Android
Know what you’re driving toward. Maxymo helps set weekly earnings goals while tracking fuel/EV, maintenance, tires, and other expenses—so you know what each shift needs to produce. Download: https://t.co/qt2cRDDBh1

@boston_drives It definitely seems geared more toward full-time Spark drivers getting offers first. I have 32 points this month, and I only do a few orders a day. That said, I honestly haven’t noticed a huge impact on my earnings so far.
This definitely raises an interesting question. 👀
If a rider is paying $148 and the driver is getting $63, is the gap getting too large or is that simply the cost of using the platform?
What do you think?

I see a lot of drivers complaining about what rideshare and delivery companies are paying, and I’m guilty of it myself sometimes.
But I think we forget something important: we have more control over the rates than we realize.
The problem is that drivers don’t stick together. Too many people would rather take half of what a trip should pay than risk making nothing at all. As long as drivers keep accepting bad offers, these companies have no reason to pay more.
Stop taking low-paying offers. Stop accepting trips that don’t make financial sense. If one app isn’t paying enough, find another gig that does.
These companies cannot operate without drivers. Maybe 10+ years from now that changes, but right now they still need us.
Set your own minimums for what you’re willing to accept. Decide what you need to make per mile, per offer, and per hour, and stick to it.
That’s actually one of the reasons I created Maxymo in the first place. I wanted to make it easier for drivers to quickly see whether an offer meets their own standards instead of just accepting whatever pops up on the screen.
At the end of the day, make sure you’re actually getting paid what your time and vehicle are worth. If you go home, run the numbers, and realize you’re making less than $20-$25 an hour or less than $1 per mile after expenses, you’re probably accepting fares that are simply too cheap.

@kieranairey@RideshareRodeo Sorry I have just seen this, best place for support is via discord or email. Hopefully the issue resolved itself? If not send me a message. Thanks!
A few years ago, @RideshareRodeo and I were actually approached about helping implement something along these lines by using rideshare drivers dash cams.
We looked at the idea, talked it over, and ultimately decided we wanted nothing to do with it. Turning rideshare drivers and their vehicles into a roaming surveillance network just didn’t sit right with us. Drivers already spend their entire day moving through neighborhoods, parking lots, businesses, apartment complexes, and residential streets. Adding another layer of data collection to that raised way too many privacy and ethical concerns for us.
There may be money in technology like this, but not every idea is worth pursuing just because someone is willing to pay for it.
We thought it was a bad idea then, and seeing where the conversation around Flock cameras has gone since then, I’m glad we turned it down.
