New Cricket Initiatives Announced For Young People in Hounslow π
A few months ago, we shared details of the launch of the Hounslow Community Cricket Partnership which aims to make cricket accessible for children in the borough - inspiring fun participation, building confidence and helping young people to get active.
The founding partners Middlesex in the Community (MITC), Sky, Sport Impact and Hounslow Council are delighted to now announce a number of enhancements to the cricket offering in Hounslow.

Today is National Schools' Cricket Day to mark 50 days to go to the ICC T20 Women's World Cup!
MITC staff are out and about delivering @Chance2Shine and @LordsTaverners programmes in local schools and local clubs who have invited school pupils to come and take part in cricket.
We're also visiting Victoria Park to see the great work @capitalkidscric are doing with local primary schools to celebrate #SchoolsCricketDay

Middlesex in the Community attended the opening of a new two-lane non-turf cricket net facility in Millwall Park on the Isle of Dogs on 9 March 2026.
The facility will be available to local schools and to the local community, whose desire to play cricket is incredibly high. The other park in Tower Hamlets, Victoria Park, recently had the first-ever turf pitch in the borough installed.
