Phones will soon be monitored. “Texas State Police recently bought vehicles equipped with technology that can intercept mobile phone data”

The Texas Department of Public Safety approved an emergency $4,487,500 purchase of four 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Pursuit Vehicles loaded with Cognyte FalcoNet gear. Only $600,000 of that was for the trucks themselves. The rest bought the surveillance systems

Purchase order included:

- Four FalcoNet core systems: $2.85 million
- 5G perpetual licenses: $280,000
- Backpack-portable units so it can leave the vehicle
- Antenna kits, amplifiers and mounting hardware

Once connected, the system pulls identifying phone information like your IMSI, IMEI and location data. 3 system can be operational in about 3 minutes and process THOUSANDS of devices per minute

Axon's ACEIP program is using body camera footage to train AI models, they are training on the most sensitive visual and audio data that exists in law enforcement. This makes the Flock ALPR data look trivial by comparison.

Axon represented to municipalities that their body camera footage would be securely stored and used only for evidence management, while simultaneously using that footage to train proprietary AI models through ACEIP, that is a material misrepresentation made to induce government contracts.

In recent Chatrie decision by Supreme court , the Supreme Court established that geofence searches require 4th Amendment protection.

the Chatrie precedent means for body camera footage. Body camera footage captures your face, your location, your voice, and your interaction with police, in public and sometimes private spaces. Now look at what happened in State of Washington Jose Rodriguez's public records requests. 🚨

Cities told courts they could not produce the records because Flock's 30-day deletion policy destroyed them. They paid $300,000 in settlements. Sedro-Woolley paid $40,000. Stanwood paid $40,000. Everett paid $25,000. 🚨

But here is the contradiction that nobody has caught: If Flock data was automatically transferring into https://t.co/7E56pPuErn, then copies of that data existed in Axon's cloud, independent of Flock's 30-day deletion policy. https://t.co/7E56pPuErn is an evidence retention platform.
