@chrisorbach Dad told of the story of going to see "Chicago" and nearly falling out of his seat, your Dad's character was costumed exactly like their manager, Mr. Weaver. Dad said your Dad was so damn good--"of course, JO, whatdaya expect!" I hope this brings some lightness on a dark day .

@chrisorbach 1. I'm so sorry you've experienced this. I want to share something nice about your Dad. My Dad was Bob Fosse's vaudeville partner--they were The Riff Brothers-- and died this past Feb. 29.

@Komaniecki_R As a choral conductor; please don't do that. We need you & your notes. Ask if you can sing B1 or T2 if you want to stretch. My kiddo (multiple piano degrees) is a baritone and sometimes sings *tenoritone* but prefers baritone for comfort. It WILL get uncomfortable, trust me.

@colleen__may Spouse was in an MD/PhD program (he got his MD/MS, the PhD was too long a slog for him at that point). Anywho, the joke was D=MD. Some of his classmates were dumb as dirt.

@NimishaBarton I hadn't been married a year, had an emergency C-section and cried about not being able to wear a bikini anymore, shallow I know, but was a ballet dancer and had a damn fine bod. Doc told me to get it together, baby was healthy. I HATED HIM STILL DO. FYI My Kiddo is 44 years old.

@dremilyportermd This happens to female conductors as well. With kids, they stick a Mrs. in front of my first name, which is okay I guess. Men, ALWAYS call me by my first name. After decades of it, I don't care. FYI my spouse is an MD, a surgeon, and is ALWAYS referred to as Dr. A (his last name)

@KristinKuster Women over 60 aren't useless either. Really, women of any age aren't useless. And if we're overlooked and dismissed, that's on those who overlook and dismiss us because it's AWESOME when Karma comes around. And it will.

@garrt Kiddo #3 played a cello gig (usually plays keyboards) the beginning of August. No masks in the pit. Didn't feel well the next day. Infected our whole household; every 2 days, someone tested positive. To add insult to injury, he still hasn't gotten PAID. All of us JUST recovering

@KristinKuster In 1990, he could finally have autism because the USDeptofEd then accepted autism for special ed services. There was a HUGE increase of *autism* in the US because the kids could be called what they were and get services. My Kiddo is gorgeous inside and outside!

@KristinKuster My son began public school services in 1983, when he was 3. He had been dx-ed PDD w/autistic tendencies. In order for him to receive services, that HAD to be the diagnosis.

@KristinKuster My own stories--crap coming from family members is the worst. When someone tries to convince a parent to abandon their adult child w/disability because they deserve some happiness--HELL is too good for them! Yeah, I got stories--this ticked me off to no end.

@kathrynw5 Yes, but married moms, single moms,working moms, stay-at-home-moms are also attacked. But no married dads, single dads,working dads, stay-at-home-dads are. Women, no matter their status, are attacked. Period. We can't make a life-choice without being attacked.

@bluertwo I was in Choir Camp (of course) in Michigan. Campers watched on a B&W TV brought outside of the A-Frame where the councilors stayed. It wasn't until we got home I saw the full thing. Amazing!

@MediawatchNw My son w/autism (44yrs. & low-functioning)has food triggered migraines. Bc he's non-verbal, took forever 2 figure out. He's been on an anti-migraine diet (no tyramines) since 2008 and it's saved his life. Not an autism diet but a migraine diet, they're not the same. Good luck!

@MediawatchNw They're all over town but might not be as loud. I haven't been downtown since the critters came out of their 17-year lairs so am not sure. Here in the suburbs there are 100s of them, had to protect our young ginkgo and linden trees with nets. It's crazy.
