Sophomore Liam Tesmer had a busy weekend at the State Championship Meet. He found his way to the podium in all three of his events. He took 2nd in the LJ, jumping 21’10, 3rd in the HJ with a jump of 6’4 and 7th in the triple jump with a jump of 44’3. Way to go Liam!
The boys 4x400 relay sealed the deal to claim the boys overall team title. Junior Dante Combs, Freshman Will Scallety, Senior Brayden Lane, and Junior Pierce Butler. Huge PR of 3:26.6!
Junior Pierce Butler ran a huge PR of 22.6 in the 200m to qualify for state! Huge anchor leg in the 4x400 as well (50.1). Way to go Pierce. He was clearly too exhausted to open his eyes
Sophomore Liam Tesmer will be busy next weekend. Qualified for all three jumps. 6’4 in the high jump, 21’7 in the Long, and 44’2 in the triple jump. Made his coach a happy man @richardasmith_
Dante Combs and Ella Aquino both took second place in the 400m. Dante ran a PR of 50.3 and Ella ran a PR of 59.9. Also helped both 4x400s move onto state. Way to go guys!
Have a day Brayden Lane! He took first place in both hurdle events. He ran 15.5 in the 110s and 41.1 in the 300s to become the regional champ in both. Also ran 50.3 split in the 4x400. See you in Wichita B Lane!
What a day at regionals. Senior Finn Cusick got things off to a great start by taking second in the discus with a throw of 156-4. Punches his ticket to state next weekend in Wichita.
Jayla McClinton took the girls shot put title at the Rockhurst Relays. Jayla threw for a new PR of 35’4.5 taking first place by nearly five feet. Way go Jayla!
Staying with the throws, Junior Devyn Davis won the boys shot put and recorded a new PR. Devyn recorded a throw of 47’3 to claim first place on his final throw.
Sophomore Liv Steven’s takes the top spot in the girls Triple Jump with a jump of 31’6. This was Livs first time triple jumping this year. Cant wait to see the rest of her jumps this year 🥇
The rain last night at the Rockhurst relays didn’t stop Senior Brayden Lane from taking first place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.5 seconds. First place and a PR. Way to go B Lane!
