This is a “flushable” wipe that was placed in a jar of water in Oct. of 2014. Wipes do not break down and can cause blockages and other issues in the sewer system. Thanks to our team who continues to provide quality wastewater services to the community. #sewersmart
Last week we showed you our plastic catch from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (and our plans for it); all the while, the Interceptor in Malaysia has been regularly removing river waste that is being returned to shore via its detachable barge.
The first plastic has arrived on shore. Next stop: September 2020, when we aim to launch the first product made out of plastic from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Learn more: https://t.co/hCVDrzhTQJ
Just welcomed our first catch from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch on shore!
Next up: recycling it into beautiful, sustainable products, with 100% of proceeds going to the cleanup.
