@JusticeForMenIN Why jail? There is no context at all, maybe she doesn't want to employ the maid and is just terminating the employment after settling all dues properly, nothing wrong with that?
@theeverydayIND@maisooru@ChennaiNr Went to IIT in mid 2000s, we had a couple of mandatory humanities courses even then, which were actually pretty good. I remember one I did was on communication skills, one on basic economics. Both are pretty useful for any corporate career.
@India_Policy 1.The punishment at IITB for cheating isn't disproportionate, It's a fail grade in that course, the 2nd year student still goes to 3rd year and repeats the failing course along with normal 3rd year curriculum. 2. Not surprising if you remember 50% of IIT students are quota admits
@avidseries@ijbailey Why would an IQ of 'at least 120' be needed for a job that primarily requires following standard processes set by others, and very little original thinking or innovation?
@parma_jawn1@dampedspring@DannyDayan5@PmQuant How does it matter what Trump wants or how do midterms matter now? Trump has already appointed him, Trump will be gone in 2 years but Warsh will still be there. He doesn't need to listen to Trump now.
@ubiquitousnewt 1. He didn't have milk, he had milk mixed with a bunch of drugs, it's called bhaang.
2. This is the same criminal piece of shit who partially blinded a little girl with his 'prank' while in India.

@1shankarsharma@deepakshenoy Nope, bulk of their liability is physical cash in circulation, on which they pay 0%. The bulk of their assets are USTs, which earn 4% or so plus currency depreciation.
@deepakshenoy@Harshith740 They can choose to do the same swap in open market at market rates rather than this convoluted off market swap at Zero. The difference in where they could do it in market (~2.5% per year, so 12% for 5y tenor) and zero is the loss to taxpayers
@deepakshenoy@OdileFlavia@Vipinguptaca There absolutely is forfeiting, the hedge that RBI is providing for free, trades in the market at around 3% per year. RBI earlier did exactly the same thing through Buy/Sell auctions, where they received a premium of 8-9 Rs for Buying USD now and Selling USD forward.
@MalooNishant@deepakshenoy@Vipinguptaca No it means RBI is borrowing USD at 6-7% in a desperate move to increase their reported reserves from 685 Bio to ~750 Bio even as true FX reserves remain unchanged at around 585 Billion.
@1shankarsharma RBI has done open market operation purchase of bonds to the extent of 10 lakh crore over the last one year. Yields would almost certainly have been much higher if not for that.
@FrankTWils21283@Cr7Godbrand That, but also, this is 18-29 age group. Many of these women are dating older men. Very few men in 20s are dating older women.
@dampedspring My sharpe over the last 10 years has been ~3 with absolute returns far exceeding any equity index. However, I have now run into capacity issues as my best strategies can't scale anymore without increasing blowup risk significantly.
@dampedspring I have spent the bulk of my 15 year trading career focused on RV. Agree it's not a diversifier to equities, and positively correlated in times of real stress. But, in the markets I trade (EMFX vols, EM rates), there are some fabulous opportunities, far better sharpe than equities
