Your salary may be small, but never underestimate the blessing of earning it honestly. There is barakah in halal rizq, even when it seems little. What Allah has blessed will always be worth more than what you gain by compromising your principles. Alhamdulillah, always 🙏🏽
There is an industry that has been slowly collapsing in Uganda and Kampala to be more specific. Real estate. Of late the collapse is happening at a higher speed. When it reaches a level where it’s clearly visible, Ugandans will know what an impact it has been playing in keeping money circulating in the Ugandan economy. Every Ugandan that has made money legitimately and illegitimately has been considering construction of apartments and commercial arcades in the city. With demand available, rent charges went wildly up. A decent shop or office space will cost you an average of 1m UGX per month. For a two bedroom apartment, you will be lucky to find it at 800,000 UGX without rotten walls, doors or cabins. The disposable income of tenants is close to zero with skyrocketing fuel prices that drive other costs with them. With that, purchasing power is going to fall steeply, Ugandans will find no reason to rent shop space that expensive and accommodation nearer to town. Very soon a-lot of those shops will be empty. Apartments in Kisaasi, Najjera, Kyanja etc will not be affordable. If the landlords don’t lower their prices, the buildings will become empty. Those constructed on bank loans will be auctioned and the industry will no longer be an attractive investment option. Then Ugandans with money will hoard cash since manufacturing and other investment options are equally shaken by fuel among other costs. We will soon experience what Kenyan real estate experienced after 2018.
Bro to bro:
Never and never.
Because you may end up in a situation where only God will know that you are telling the truth.
Let rain beat her, and continue your way.
