Many times, when I connect with a person of influence and/or affluence and I'm going to link up with them, I usually go with a friend.

"Come with me. I'll like you to meet somebody."

The whole point is also to help them expand their network. Even if you don't connect at first instance, let them put a face to you. You never know when or where next you meet again. Often times, I meet these people and realize I'm already in their good books, but we just hadn't met until then. They are usually happy to see me when I'm the one that quietly feel honoured.

I'm not unmindful of the privilege. Life is unscripted, but God is faithful.
