So then of course, I started thinking about favorite albums of all time
In no order:
Taking Back Sunday - Where You Want to Be
Russian Circles - Guidance
Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience
Coheed - In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
Playing guitar and other instruments that can play whole songs is great. I do it because it's the closest I've found to that social "high". Connecting with 30+ people to make something beautiful is wonderful.
I think that one of the things I miss most in my life is high school band. That collaborative effort to make something happen. I continue to play music, but nothing else has made me feel like part of a cohesive whole like that did.
Okay take two because I realized I missed a couple. In no particular order, top albums of the year:
Sour, Olivia Rodrigo
That's What They All Say, Jack Harlow
An Evening With Silk Sonic, Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak)
Songs of the year:
Drivers License, Olivia Rodrigo
Creme, Jack Harlow
21C/Delta, Jack Harlow
The Feels, TWICE
Children in the Dark, Tristam
Shoulders, Coheed and Cambria
Because no one has been asking, my albums of the year:
Sour by Olivia Rodrigo
That's What They All Say by Jack Harlow
An Evening with Silk Sonic by Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak)
@Baccasoccer10 hahaha I wish I would get carded for that. I haven't been carded for booze in like.... a year? But a custom 6 pack of soda? 3 times in a row.
My fam did Thanksgiving today. You ever try to explain a genre of games to people that don't game, and then have to be like, "it's amazing. I swear. Just.... trust me. People love it"?
